This is releasing on Crunchyroll as well, looooooved this first episode too. The switch in tone and color palette as soon as the zombies show up was awesome.
Kai is a great watch through the Cell Saga and really streamlines the whole thing for me. Some of the fights still drag out but thats part of what makes DBZ what it is. I ended up switching back to standard DBZ for the whole Buu arc since I'd read they did a pretty bad job with the Kai version, worth keeping in mind once you get to that arc.

Got this early birthday present and this top is so good!!! I have to take a picture of the back yet but look at Pochita!!
Good news for fans of Sword Art spinoffs and extremely abnormal sibling relationships: new seasons announced for Gun Gale and Irregular At Magic High.
I’ve only seen SAO season one when it first came out. Is the rest of the franchise worth getting into?
when I first saw SAO I was like it’s so coooool but that was really my first time watching anime after I watched it a few years later and I watched SAO 1 and 2 I asked myself why did I do this to myself
My experience with it was watching about half of the first season, hating it, dropping it, and then trying to give it another chance around the Alicization arc or whatever the fuck it was called when one of my coworkers at the GameStop I worked at was like "it got a lot better". It didn't. I still hated it. But I will never judge anyone for liking it because I'm not a fucking dipshit and I realize that it's a pretty common gateway anime for people.
I'll watch it simply because it's a known entity and I've sworn to give all known entities in anime the time of day at some point. I've also been known to enjoy some pretty trashy anime. Anyway, it's on my roulette wheel, so it'll come up eventually.
SAO is one of the only things that gets ragged on all the time that totally deserves all the hate it gets
basically gateway anime which you can be like cool alright but then when you get into the peak anime you go damn that’s trash we take those
