I finished Eccentric Family. The directing, dialogue, and family drama were all spot on. The humour was hit and miss (I found the Ebisugawa brothers annoying) and the ending wasn't quite satisfying, but I'd still say that the show was very well put together. The animation was solid and consistent — the one thing you can count on P.A. Works for! Great stuff overall. I don't think it needs a sequel, but I'll watch season two anyway. At least it's based on the original author's sequel novel.
Despite looking amazing, this is a really pervy/uncomfortable anime. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, because Lupin, but damn.
Well, here goes! Hopefully you haven't seen most of them already. Baccano! Kyousou Giga (TV) Kuragehime Mousou Dairinin Fuujin Monogatari Taiho Shichau zo
Back Princess Jellyfish, Baccano, Paranoia Agent, and Princess Jellyfish. Yes, I back Princess Jellyfish twice.
Here are some other 11-13 episode series: Saikano Angel Beats! The Devil is a Part-Timer!* Sunday Without God* Elfen Lied* Eden of the East** Madoka** *story is continued in manga/light novel--second anime season not likely **story is continued in movies
Seasons 1 & 2 of Space Dandy came in the mail. Can't wait to rewatch season one. This scene is so fucking wonderful.
I have always wanted to check out Space Dandy fully, maybe that's what I'll watch next. Saw a few episodes of it when it was airing and loved it. I've been rewatching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure with my roommate, it's his first time and he's really getting a kick out of it. Also going to check out that new KyoAni show about dragon maids (?), not sure if I'll enjoy it but I tend to like KyoAni shows.
already watched these 3, loved them all a lot. and just to add: Noragami and Noragami Aragoto are awesome.
Little Witch Academy and Gabriel Dropout is what I'm currently watching from this season. Need to check out dragon maid show
LWA is also on my list to start, as is Gabriel. There's a few others this season as well. The monster girl's show, Demi-whatever, and others.
LWA won't be until April on Netflix because a dub probably. My next convention, Anime Boston, I'll be working with Boston Pride on my LGBT+ in Anime panel. So that's cool. Also I missed a lot here but fuck I'm watching s2 of Rakugo Shinju, Onihen, and Tiger Mask W primarily. I might also pick up Dragon Dentist and Kobayashi.
1. 9 episodes of queerbaiting and wish fulfillment without confirming anything between Yuuri and Victor 2. Revealing in episode 10 that Yuuri and Victor had met once before but Yuuri doesn't remember it because he was intoxicated and nonconsensually acting promiscuous and forcing himself upon Victor, begging him to be his teacher. This changes the subtext of the entirety of all interactions between the two characters and implies that Victor's basis for his feelings for Yuuri are based off of his actions while drunk. 3. Not fucking confirming the relationship by the end of the series. fuck yuri on ice.
Hmm. Well now I might not watch it. Heard good things about it too. Though that last thing just sounds like a normal anime issue.
Yeah that sounds like typical anime to me in general. Pervasive throughout especially in queer focused shows, they super conservative over there in that regard.
I wouldn't be so angry if this wasn't championed as some queer romance triumph. But it's... it's not. Anyway. Season two of Rakugo Shinju continues to be excellent.
