Hell’s Paradise premiere is S-tier as expected.

 

Finished episode 4 of Spider, and one of my criticisms is that we've gone four episodes and the main character is still so far removed from anything else that's going on. And I actually spoiled myself a little on why that is, but...

It actually took me a while to get fully invested into Slime for a similar reason. It wasn't until the Kijin showed up and Rimuru had a more balanced cast to bounce off of that it really started blossoming for me.

By the same token, I'm enjoying the adventures of spider, don't get me wrong, but it's getting a little annoying to watch her talk to herself for more than half of the episodes. I'm actually finding myself a little more interested in what's happening with the students, just because conversations are way more interesting to follow than monlogues.

 

I don’t think there’s a better alternative though? To be fair, it’s pretty solid on my Apple TV.

 

Just started watching Engage Kiss and whilst it was panned a bit online, I'm actually quite enjoying it.

 

Gonna start Chainsaw Man today

 

The Chainsaw Man manga is finally picking up steam again, some very dope imagery in the last two chapters

 

Very hyped for cour 2 of Vinland S2 to start this week after seeing the new trailer. OP sounds way better than cour 1 too:

I’m at the Zou arc in One Piece now. Damn, I love this series. Oda is a master at storytelling.

Finished episode 9 of Spider, and between these episodes and some spoilers I know about future content, it's dawning on me that this is playing out like Overlord, in that the adventures of the cute energetic go-get-'em spider girl is her villain origin story.

 

Looking to take advantage of my Crunchyroll trial while I rewatch DB and DBZ. Any recommendations?

I've really only watched the DB series, Death Note, some Naruto and Yu Yu Hakusho in terms of anime. Something really pretty and trippy to watch while high would be cool too

Odd Taxi and Vivy are the two anime I always recommend to people. Both are only 13 episodes with a complete story and amazing writing. If you want trippy, try maybe Chainsaw Man. It’s the biggest anime from last year and is absolutely bonkers.

Hiiigghllyyyy recommend Sonny Boy if you want something cool and trippy. Only 12 episodes, super weird and colorful (once you get past the first episode), incredible soundtrack. It’s a masterpiece imo.

also FLCL if you haven’t watched that. It’s a cult classic and only 6 episodes.

 

I don't really know anything about Magical Destroyers and it has a pretty mediocre rating on MAL but the OP is fucking sick

 

Decided to check in on the Girlfriend Girlfriend manga to see how it's coming along and those fucking characters are unhinged in how badly they want to make their crazy harem lifestyle work. You know what? Good for them. Find your weird crazy multi-timing happiness.
