Looked this up. Read some comments on Reddit that were troubling. Read the first couple pages. Hard pass.
Yeah, it's not good, it was advertised as a romantic comedy or something and it's like fucked up. I don't actually want them to adapt it by the way. It was a bad joke. But knowing the industry they will. They do anything nowadays.
Is it? I've heard the name before but I don't know what it's about. I only know of trash like "A Sister's All You Need" and such
I saw a video where someone was just describing episode summaries of Redo of Healer and it sounds like the most vile anime.
I mean, when you say trash, I feel like you just mean it's dumb, but when I say that Redo Of Healer is trash, know that I mean it's horrible and triggering and disgusting. I have never watched or read it, just read about it, and I will never watch or read it ever. Trigger warning for spoiler text. It's basically about how the protagonist, the healer, was horribly abused and mistreated by the "heroes" of his world so he plots revenge by horribly abusing and mistreating them. Rape is used frequently on both sides of the fence, and one of his "party members" is one of his former abusers who he brainwashed. Another it's implied he drugged. It's really fucked up from all sides. People die in horrible ways, and everyone is awful.
So like, I don't mind evil and revenge plots, but that kind of thing bothers me a lot, ESPECIALLY when everyone is just awful and they use rape as one of the only ways to torment someone or as entertainment.
I think something that's more egregious is when they throw it into a perfectly good show/story out of nowhere. Like if the whole show is revolved around that I can avoid it but I remember watching a show I was enjoying and then out of left field they just went down that path for like a few episodes and I said "what the fuck" because I didn't sign up for that. Like I'm watching a show right now that has some good moments and potential but then they just throw in creepy groping out of nowhere and I'm just baffled.
Anyway, onto something more pleasant. Yohane descends in July! Some real inspired class choices here for the gang, specifically Ruby as a pixie and Mari as a demon queen. I also like whatever look Dia is rockin', makes me think of a certain character from Konosuba, which makes me wonder if she's a judge of some kind? Would make sense. For those that don't understand, this is a spinoff of Love Live Sunshine, with less school idol slice of life and more fantasy world shenanigans.
So I'm watching Mieruko-chan and I was expecting just a lighthearted comedy because I saw it advertised as that, but it has some wild stuff that happens. I like the art a lot. Episode 6 is real good. The comedy in it is pretty good though. The character Hana is so likeable and bubbly. She's so pure.
I finished Mieruko-chan. It's a very weird show but I liked it overall. I hope there's a season two because there's so much left unexplained and a few more avenues to go. It was not at all what I thought it was going to be.
Vinland Saga S2 has been great so far. Really loving the change of pace from S1 to a slow burn. I wanted to wait for more dub episodes to come out since I find it somewhat jarring watching a bunch of Danish and English dudes speak Japanese but I couldn't help myself and am now caught up. Thorfinn and Einar's developing friendship has been really enjoyable to see.
The Boruto manga is fine. Seems like they’re getting close to the timeskip finally, which is really needed. The Naruto timeskip happened about 5yrs in. Boruto is now about to enter year 7 and they clearly still have a ways to go before finishing this current arc
It has been a slow burn with the Code arc. Looking forward to the time skip and seeing things pick up pace.
i cant believe this is actually happening. the manga is so good and this trailer looks great, finally coming this year.
Dont know shit about Pluto but that pv has piqued my interest for sure, really digging the look of it too. Some of those shots were gorgeous and the premise sounds fun.
The top YouTube comment basically sums this up: "I love how unnecessarily epic this opening is" If you haven't seen it, it's definitely not this type of show haha.
hey gang, is there any substantial difference between the original Cowboy Bebop and the remix? is it just really small stuff? want to pick it up on blu-ray but it seems like a contentious release lmao
