I read the first volume and loved it. It looks like volume two just came out. I’ll have to pick it up.
there's a lot of good manga series that i think will have large followings when their adaptations premiere but to me dandadan is THE one. its pure nonstop fun.
Haha I said a page back how I’d like an anime of this. I think they could right some of the wrongs but yeah definitely not perfect but I enjoyed it back in 09.
Well I'm now all in on My Hero, just banged out seasons 1-2 over the weekend. The tournament arc was so much fun.
I’ve really gotten into rent-a-girlfriend but man, I wish Kazuya would just man up and tell Mizuhara how he feels already!
I check up on that manga every few months to find out how it's progressing and it's like watching a glacier. Although I read something about how the creator of Rent-A-Girlfriend and the creator of Girlfriend Girlfriend plan to end their works around the same time? Dunno how true that is, but it least means an end is possible. Also, on a side note, Girlfriend Girlfriend is a wild fucking ride where everyone is operating on insane troll logic, and I am here for it.
Unfortunately I decided to check the Reddit sub last night and was quite surprised the manga was still going as I initially thought it was just a 24 ep anime deal with a closure incoming (I'm on ep 14). I really enjoy the art style and characters so one half of me was happy to find out it's still going but... I wish they would have got together and that led to something with more substance regarding the relationship but it seems more of the same. I can't believe they only just kissed in the manga not too long ago! I say this but you know I will definitely be picking this up after I've finished the anime I'll have to check Girlfriend Girlfriend out as well.
Wrapped up season one of Made in Abyss and damn, Nanachi's backstory was so affecting. The scene where Reg killed Mitty absolutely destroyed me. I had to put down my oldest cat about two years ago and that scene brought all of those emotions right back to the surface. Can't wait to move onto Dawn of the Deep Soul and season 2.
Looks like Chainsaw Man DVD sales are below expectations in Japan. Hopefully that doesn’t impact future seasons. Kind of feel like only doing one cour was a mistake.
I thought the season was good but the more I thought about it I was so confused why it was only 12 episodes and especially since we didn’t really get into the best stuff yet.
Yeah the really short season won’t have done sales any favours. I have no doubts that it will be picked up again.
I loved what we did get in S1 but it really did feel like half a season. I know some shows overstay their welcome with a full 24 episodes but CSM really could've benefited from it imo.
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear 2nd Season Anime's Promo Video Reveals, Previews Opening Theme Song The return of Best Show Starring A Girl In A Bear Costume.
I've only watched the first episode of Chainsaw Man but I'm up to date on the manga. It feels so wild to end the first season where they did. It ramps up so much so quickly from where they left off. Given how much hype it's already gotten and how much investment has been put into marketing (at least from Crunchyroll in the US), it feels like a no-brainer that they'd move forward with season 2.
It doesn't help that even the manga moves pretty slow. Each chapter is only like 12 pages, and it takes 50+ chapters of set up for the real gnarly payoffs. I keep waiting for Part 2 to start getting wild.
finished Summer Time Rendering, pretty fun show. Like Edge of Tomorrow, very light Steins;Gate. I enjoyed the first half which was more mystery heavy than the action packed second half but worth a watch. Maybe way too much fanservice but it seems inescapable in anime
Rumbling is hilariously heavy, I preferred My War though. Bocchi has the best OP on that list (the whole Kessoku Band album honestly rules).
