crazy that the durarara collection is on sale and its still 100 bucks also its the start of my thanksgiving break, which mean ill be watching an entire series. this year im doing paranoia agent
I recently re-watched Madoka Magica (the TV series) and was blown away. It went from "pretty good" to easily one of my top 10 favourites. I was still fairly new to anime the first time I saw it, so I guess I just wasn't ready, haha. Great choice. Enjoy!
Watching ReLife because it had such a high rating on MyAnimeList. Overall, it's a decently funny anime. It's charming, and you actually start to like the characters, kinda reminding me of My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu (where's my season 3?), but not as much. I also can't really tell if the main focus is the high school experience played for feels and humor or the weird and (possibly?) sinister experiment being conducted. For the first like 7 episodes it seemed like the concept was just a cheap excuse to make a teen high school show, and then episode 8 comes and it's ENTIRELY about the shady going ons of the company that made the pill. I haven't finished yet, but still can't tell what kind of show this is supposed to end up. We'll see.
Do you live in the US? It's going to get a "wide" (not sure how wide) theatrical release in the US in the first quarter of 2017. The details will appear here when they're available. Sometime after that it'll be released on BD and DVD. As far as legal streaming options, I haven't heard anything, but maybe Funimation will be doing that too.
Kizumonogatari is a light novel, right? Nice picks, between that and Punpun. (And Orange is okay I guess)
Just finished Shinsekai Yori... man... that show had me going. Been awhile since an anime really captivated me like that.
I plan on trying Shinsekai Yori again at some point. I watched the first few episodes when it was airing, but lost interest. Since then I've only heard really good things about it.
Yeah, it's a slow paced show, for sure. But I'd say it's worth it. Similar to Stein's Gate, for me, as it took a few episodes to draw me in, and then I was hooked.
Agreed on all of this. A friend and I started watching it because we stumbled across it and didn't have anything else to do. We got through the first two, left to grab a pizza, got back to his place, and kind of shrugged and said, sure, let's keep going for another episode or two. Aaaaand I'm pretty sure we watched until 4 am, then finished the series the following day. Such a good one. Weird, too.
