On chapter 85 of Chainsaw Man....what the fuck the scene at the burger restaurant is so fucking weird OMG IT CONTINUES INTO THE NEXT CHAPTER it sucks that we'll all be dead by the time this show gets really fucking good
Onto chapter 107 of Chainsaw Man. Part two feels like a bit of a step down after the second half of part one, hopefully it follows part ones trend and starts getting wild soon. I really miss Aki, Power and Makima
Been watching Wise Man's Grandchild, and I appreciate a couple things the anime does differently than similar entries in the isekai genre. First, rather than follow the usual plot of having just the overpowered hero save the day, the show makes a point of having the overpowered hero train everyone else to be just as overpowered as he is. Second, rather than have a harem or at least a competition of love interests, the show establishes the core relationship early on, doesn't deviate, and actually in the episode I just watched, they officially get engaged. It's still fairly generic overall, but it's interesting that it at least tries to approach some tropes differently.
It's....currently unknown lol. It's called NieR Automata Ver1.1a..........and the 1.1a is implying it's gonna be different than the game somehow. Whether it's expanded stuff, completely new stuff, changed stuff, it's really unknown at the moment. The franchise is known for having different endings and branching paths in the story in it's games so the 1.1a may also imply it's gonna be separate from the game after a certain point. Basically, you don't need to have played the game to watch and understand lol. Sorry if the above confuses you.......it's a confusing franchise once you get down that rabbit hole.
I've just started watching Hideo Kojima's 2022 recommendation, Lycoris Recoil and it has been pretty sweet so far (only 2 eps in). I've also watched one ep of Chainsaw Man today after having no prior knowledge of the series just the huge hype around it and all I can say is 'WTF' haha, and I mean that in a good way!
the fact that right now I got spy x family, blue lock, my hero academia and now Tokyo revengers every saturday is fire
so much happened in season 1 of Tokyo revengers that I had to go watch a recap on YouTube before I start season 2 it just sucks it’s on Hulu
No idea if anyone’s been watching Gundam: Witch from Mercury but todays episode was great. Can’t wait for the 2nd season in April.
Tried watching Liz and the Blue Bird on Crunchyroll and every subtitle ends with . I’m close to cancelling my account. The app is constantly fucked and they have zero customer support, they closed their forums so people can’t talk about how horrible their service is.
What’s everyone watching for seasonal anime winter 2023? Mine are Tokyo Revengers, Trigun Stampede, Vinland Saga, and My Hero. I never watched the original Trigun (I know, I know), but this seems like a reboot and I like the animation.
This will never happen, but my goal is to catch up on all the anime from over the years and get to the point where I can just watch each season as it comes. Because this will never happen, that's why I end up adding shows to my RNG list so I can at least try to watch some newer stuff if it comes up when I spin the wheel. I try to wait until after the season is over though to add them, cause I want to binge shows. That being said, shout out to the following: The Misfit At Demon King Academy II Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon IV Part 2 Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro: 2nd Attack! BOFURI: I Don't Want To Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defense Season 2 In/Spectre Season 2 The Fruit Of Evolution Season 2 The Vampire Dies In No Time Season 2 Tomo-chan Is A Girl! Spy Classroom Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte
I mean, you will though. Not necessarily copy, but I'm sure there are light novels and manga out there with similar premises that will be looked at more intently for adaptation.
Campfire Cooking in Another World With My Absurd Skill isn’t something I’d normally watch, but MAPPA is making it, so I’m trying it when it airs. I’ll watch anything they make.
Yeah, there's a lot of other anime coming out that I'll probably add to my list, but I'm not at the moment expecting them to be special. I do however have a soft spot for the fact that a lot of anime revolves around picking a single idea only slightly different from everything else, and then proceeding to beat that idea to death. Like, what if isekai, but (insert different skill set or job class here).
Yep. Handyman Saitou in Another World and Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World For My Retirement are two other examples this season.
