Finished episode 4 of The Misfit Of Demon King Academy, and I'm actually finding this brand of overpowered hero refreshing.

He's confident but not in a brash kind of way, he just knows exactly what he's capable of, and it allows him to spout some absolutely insane lines.

"Did you think you could kill me just by crushing my heart?"
"Did you think you could stop me just by freezing time?"

It's pretty badass, can't lie.

 

I'm reading Chainsaw Man and still found it a bit underwhelming but I just got to chapter 64 where they get sent to hell and this is some of the coolest shit I've ever seen

 

See this is where I'm most excited for the anime to get to, I absolutely loved all of this

 

it just gets better and better really and then the more you get into it the better the early stuff becomes because of how the characters grow on you and evolve. it's a really great series.

 

Chainsaw Man got cemented as one of my favourite series of the last few years on my second read. The first read is just pure "wait what the fuck just happened" - the second read through though... The context of knowing what happens makes the earlier chapters a lot more compelling.

 

The darkness devil panel with the praying astronauts is the most tempted I've ever been to get a tattoo of something in my life. One astronaut on one leg, their legs on the other

Considering it's the best anime of the year, yes.

 

Just finished the first episode. Awesome start. It’s like Komi Can’t Communicate, but with music. I love the ending and opening songs.

bocchi the rock is easily the best anime of the year, the in show band just released a full length and it might be album of the year. Watch it

 

the Yuru Camp movie is on crunchyroll, it's apparently been there for a while but crunchyroll's UI is such shit it's mixed in with the other seasons so I never noticed

anyway it rules

Finished The Misfit Of Demon King Academy and holy shit, the awesome absurdity of this anime is sending me.

Anos, the main character, has a fan club of eight girls that have twice now, on his command, launched into a musical number to help him save the day, and I love it.

This and the audacity of him continuing to spout lines that more or less come off as "Did you really think you could kill me just by killing me?" and I am loving this far more than I probably should.

Really glad it's getting a second season this year.

I still have Your Lie In April to watch, but I went ahead and spun my wheel to add four more series on my list.

I've added: Baccano!, Encouragement Of Climb, Wise Man's Grandchild, and ReLIFE.

 

Finally finished DARLING in the FRANXX yesterday and man, was it a beautiful ending. I love every second of this (definitely a top contender for me in general) and now I’m sad it’s over haha.
