I'm two episodes away from finishing Darling In The Franxx. When I'm done, I'm going to decompress with Yuyushiki. Then, since To Your Eternity is still ongoing, I might hold off on it and spin the wheel again. We'll see.
The big fights will hopefully be great when animated, but so far the story and characters have been way more shallow than the other current big shonen action stuff like JJK and CSM imo
agreed. its fine series but i never bought into the hype myself. i like the idea of an older character like kafka who suddenly gets a chance to shine but beyond i dont think the series stands out much.
I finished Darling In The Franxx, and I thought the ending was really beautiful, actually. Also, Mitsuru and Kokoro for best couple. The only complaint is how sick would it be if Hiro and Zero Two came back from space and she's just a giant ship now that Hiro lives inside? I'd watch the shit out of that.
Mob Psycho is in the running for best anime ever made There's just nothing that even comes close in terms of maturity, storytelling, empathy, execution, and presentation Really as good as it gets in this genre
It's been my favorite anime series since Season 2, hell even Season 1 put it in the running for me. I cried watching this final episode, I love and hate that it's over. It came in and did what it needed to with 3 seasons. 99 playing while Reigen ran towards Mob is what made me initially burst into tears
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Manga's Anime Project 'Restarts' Hoping this is just a Season 2 announcement and not anything weird. The fact that they're using clips of the first season to advertise this makes me think it's not a reboot, but who knows.
I’m a simple man. I get my coffee and muffin ready on a Saturday and I sit in my recliner chair and I watch my hero academia, blue lock and spy x family. perfect routine.
See the problem is that there are a lot of great people who work at IGN like Seth Macy, Sam Claiborn, Justin Davis, Casey DeFreitas and Daemon Hatfield, but none of them write those types of articles and those articles are usually trash.
I don't know that the list is trash so much as catering to the average anime watcher who literally only knows the most popular franchises. I mean, frankly, it's the kind of list I'd expect a lot of websites to cobble together.
The Bocchi the Rock finale was incredible and it's legitimately a perfect season. I'll stop harping on it (until season 2...) but I can't recommend it enough. Incredibly funny, really weird and the music is great (this is from the fourth episode or something, not really a spoiler)
I know it was probably a meh episode to most causal watchers in regards to chainsaw man but damn the blue lock hype is very real.
a bunch of official christmas visuals I've seen today (I don't know most of these shows but i'm not playing favorites)
I don't recognize most of those, and I assume they're new anime from this year or coming soon. Shout out to Bofuri though.
Almost done with Yuyushiki. It's more YuruYuri than Nichijou as far as slice-of-life comedies of this type go, but it's fun. For some reason, anime of this type always take a couple episodes to really grab me, and I dunno if it's just because of older adapted material being when they were still finding their feet or if it's just me needing to get to know the cast before I can start to care about what they're doing. I also feel like any adaptation of the 4-panel format feels like an adaptation of the 4-panel format. Like, I can see a lot of the time where one strip ended and a new one began, even when they're in the same setting. Sometimes the dialogue just doesn't flow realistically. Which is fine, it's just interesting to be able to see the seams in the tapestry, so to speak. Anyway, once I'm finished with this, I'll spin the wheel again and see what I get, since To Your Eternity is still ongoing.
