I love that weird little Bocchi is ranked up there with two absolutely massive shonen series

 

DARLING in the FRANXX has have become one of my favourite anime’s of all time.

 

I'm glad there's other people out there that love it!

also akutami said they expect the manga to run for about another year. i was surprised at first, seems like theres a lot left to do, but the more i thought about it the more i think that it starting its endgame makes sense. tbf when a mangaka says stuff like that you can always add like a year or two to their estimates.

 

Idk how season 7 of my hero can even do as much as this current season does Jesus

I’m not sure where this MHA season is going to end, based on the pacing of the manga. Because this arc could be a whole season long and ends at a point that even as a I read it I realized “this is clearly the end point of this season.” But they are blazing through it.

But then after this are two slightly shorter arcs that, if combined with what is clearly now the final final arc, would be way too long for a regular season. And neither of those arcs would really work thematically as a cap on this season

 

Finished episode 18 of Franxx and it ripped my heart out and ate it. Gutted. Leave those kids alone! :(

 

Spy×Family Anime Gets 2nd Season, Film in 2023

Both a movie and Season 2 are a go.

 

I really love Spy x Family (Anya the best) but i find the animation/art style super boring. Hopefully the movie steps things up

 

Blue Exorcist Gets New TV Anime Series

Never watched this, but wild that a new anime is happening. Not sure if it's a new season or what, but it's interesting nonetheless.

I recommend reading it instead. I’m on chapter 700 now. Watching it was pretty boring.
But it’s one of my favorite stories of all time.

 

I haven’t really been into reading lately so I’ll probably just stick to watching but appreciate the recommendation

It becomes worth watching around episode 900 because the animation improves drastically, and especially so around 980. Still mostly slow-paced though, aside from the big fight scenes where they tend to add so much more than what was included in the manga

 

first trailer for undead unluck is out and looks great. being done by the studio and director that did fire force so it should be in good hands. a really wild series.

new mashle trailer is very strange, but does confirm a spring release. not the biggest fan of this series but if the action sequences are done well we could be in for a fun one.

and finally a new trailer for hell's paradise, with a spring release!

 

I actually just finished volume one of the Hell’s Paradise manga. MAPPA will do an awesome job. It’s totally in their wheelhouse

 

and now the first kaiju no 8 teaser. did not expect 2024, i imagine they really wanna get this right, seems like jump is banking on this being this their next big thing.
