I'd advise against watching Darling in the Franxx ever tbh

 

I appreciate your advice, but unless you've got a really compelling reason, I'm going to watch it.

Enough people seem to like it, and it was intensely popular for a time. I feel like I should at least give it a try.

 

I hear polarizing stuff on it. I’m curious what your thoughts will be.

 

oh what the fuck the Quintessential Quintuplets movie is playing right by me tomorrow. It's the dub though, nah. and I also don't want to see that with people. or have anyone see me see it.

The main male character in Darling in the Franxx is one of the most boring, uninteresting protagonists I've seen in an anime and we're supposed to believe multiple girls, who are actually better characters than him, want to fawn over him.

Also all the baby obsession is fuckin weird, not to mention the actual way they pilot the mechs because of course

 

I feel like a lot of anime is like this, though. I'll be more properly equipped to discuss this after I watch it, but without having seen this protagonist, I'm already dubious about how much that will really affect my enjoyment. We'll find out!

 

Honestly I'm coming off too hard, I look forward to someone new watch it and see if they dislike it as much as me ha. There are decent characters in it, and the middle section of it is actually not bad. The beginning and end for me are just bleh.

 

Darling is a top tier terrible anime people like only because the main girl is edgy and attractive.

It's got nearly no redeeming qualities to it as a show.

 

Yea darling is very mediocre but speaking of Studio Trigger shows, the Gridman and Dynazenon sequel movie comes out in March.

Like usually I hate sports anime just because they drag stuff on for so long but nope this one does it perfectly and I’m hooked on everything

 

Four episodes into Darling and the biggest question on my mind is how horny the creator had to be to design a piloting situation like that, complete with innuendo. Weird.
