@Penlab have you considered making a blog? Always love reading your snippets on whatever anime you’re watching.
I started watching Boogiepop And Others, and I'm not sure how I feel about it so far. It's somewhat interesting, but I'm not finding the characters to have much to them beyond the strange things happening around them, and that makes it harder for it to keep my interest. It's also, from my understanding, a loose collection of stories centering around a couple of recurring characters, rather than having any overarching plot or development, which also makes it harder for me to stay invested. I'll still stick with it though. I decided to go ahead and spin the wheel to add four more series to my plate, so I've added To Your Eternity, Suppose A Kid From The Last Dungeon Moved To A Starter Town, Darling In The FranXX, and Yuyushiki, which seems like a good mix. A couple serious ones, a couple not-so-serious ones. Last Dungeon in particular I've seen a billion clips from on YouTube, so I'm pretty stoked to watch it.
Thank you, I appreciate that. When I was younger I'd tinkered with making a website or similar every so often, but I never could get it off the ground, and frankly I've just come to the conclusion that I wouldn't really want to bother with it. I'm happy just being a forum poster.
Just finished the first Gantz omnibus and immediately ordered the next. Awesome series so far. I didn’t watch the anime, so I went in blind.
Yesterday’s Chainsaw Man was spicy ;) I didn’t expect Gun Devil to be introduced already. But they’re adapting like three chapters per episode, so I guess it works out
There’s apparently only 12 episodes this season so I’m assuming they get through the Katana Man arc, then s2 would cover the rest of part 1
It's very fast paced - I don't think Fujimoto uses a narrator for exposition even once throughout the series from what I can remember. Without spoiling anything, Fujimoto is very adept at letting silence do most of the talking in his narrative style - there's a certain poignance in what's left unsaid. Also it definitely won't be just 12 episodes, likely we'll get a second cour.
No, I’m saying this 12-ep season will probably cover around 40 chapters total. Next season will likely be the following 3 arcs, which is around 50-60 chapters, so it will probably be a bit longer
Absolutely love Chainsaw Man so far. I’m watching the dub so behind everyone else probably, but it’s phenomenal. Now I just need to get back to reading the manga after falling off around chapter 45
So I'm seeing Chainsaw Man ran for a couple years, then a long break before "part 2" started releasing. is Part 2 a sequel series? I might pick up the manga after the anime finishes but I'm weary of mangas that end up running for 10,000 volumes
The writer/artist took a hiatus. It’s not a sequel, but a big turning point in the plot. It’s still the same series.
I feel like more SJ series should take a break between arcs. Give them time to have a break and think through the next part.
Crunchyroll seems like it is back to normal so that’s good. I just have to say though this season of my hero academia is absolutely killing it. It honestly has me at the edge of my seat every episode. I’m glad they put in the work since last season for me was kinda meh.
Because I'm up to speed with all eps of Chainsaw Man (and the entire first part of the manga) I've decided to give Jujutsu Kaisen a try. We'll see how that goes.
You’re in for a treat. This season of MHA is just going to keep getting better. Probably one of, if not, the best arc in the series
Possibly showing my age but I feel like the Endless Eight from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya needs to be included in a time loop starter pack.
Has anyone ever watched the spinoff series, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan? It's on my to do list. Per Wiki it takes place in the alternate universe where Haruhi never formed the S.O.S. Brigade. Looks more slice of lifeish, but I can't really tell.
