Six episodes into Future Diary, and I have to give credit for making Yuno weirdly adorable when she's actually being a normal person and not doing things like breaking into Yuki's house and subtly hinting that if his mother hadn't approved their relationship, she would've had to use... tools...
The aesthetic of the morning routine animation, Denji and Akia getting mad at Power after she moved in, Akia using the wolf thing, and the early mention of Gun Devil…so many great highlights.
The really crazy part is it’s only going to keep getting better like content wise. I love this show so much.
I finished Future Diary, including the OVA Redial. Those crazy kids. Never underestimate the power of madness. There's certainly things about it I could critique, but overall I found it really engaging, and Yuno and Yukki are a fascinating duo, that get more fascinating to me the deeper they go into their strange symbiotic relationship. Anyway, the next thing on my plate before I spin the wheel again is Boogiepop And Others. I honestly don't know a lot about this, although I don't think it's going to be fun times.
Addendum: I love the little wiggle dance Ninth does in the second opening. I dunno why. Do I need a reason? But seriously, Ninth and Nishijima are the best couple on the show. And arguably the most stable, which is saying something.
Attack on Titan is what got me back into it after a long hiatus, but binging both seasons of Steins;Gate is what really got me hooked again
I'm not really into like, really violent stuff. I don't mind violence, but is the show just gore porn?
chainsaw man is violent and bloody but i definitely wouldnt call it gory. the action usually moves too fast to focus on any gore other than blood going all over the place.
It’s not “gore porn” but it’s absolutely on the *more* gory side. The MC’s body get severed/dismembered constantly, right from the first ep lol
i generally also avoid things that i find to be too gory but i have no problem with anything in chainsaw man so i do think theres a distinction to be made. it never dwells on the gore and the violence is intentionally very cartoonish. definitely more kill bill than saw if thats a point of reference that makes sense.
