What’s everyone watching for the Summer season? The big ones are Overlord, Classroom of the Elite, Shadows House, and Made in Abyss.
I'm interested in a lot of things, but I let the random number generator decide what I watch, so I probably won't get to a lot of these things until 20XX. I am interested in all of the things you mentioned though. Because I'm a sucker for a stupid premise, I'm also interested in When Will Ayumu Make His Move and My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex. Because I'm a sucker for a stupid isekai, I'm curious if My Isekai Life is as boring as the name implies. Finally, shout out to Dropkick On My Devil, the anime that crowdfunds their new seasons like a boss.
Henkei Shoujo Gag Comedy Anime Shorts Get English Dub Not that I care about the dub, but I just want an excuse to talk about this thing, which I love because it's fuckin' bonkers and has a sequence that absolutely prompted me to dive into anime. Just one of those what the fuck did I just witness kind of situations.
I feel like that's a weird response to watching a robot girl drink gasoline and then turn into a car, but okay.
Yes, I understood that. I was trying to very lightly defuse the comment and turn it away from a really uncomfortable and disturbing topic, and also point out my feeling that it is ridiculous that that's the takeaway from that clip rather than the ludicrousness of a girl transforming into a car.
I was being tongue in cheek, it was a baffling clip and but it cracked me up and also yeah, the constant sexualization of minors in anime is fucked up and a bummer
Finished My Love Story. Such a ridiculously charming rom com. Shame the whole thing never got adapted; would've liked to have seen more of the supporting cast. Anyway, I think next I'm going Toilet-bound.
Is there an “official” English dub of Odd Taxi? It sounds like it could be interesting, but I’d probably only watch it while I work so it’d be nice to not have to read subtitles.
Our SLC Comic Con this year has like 6 voice actors from My Hero Academia coming so I figured I'd give the show a shot and see what it's all about since it's obviously super popular. I watched 6 episodes yesterday during work and it's pretty fun! It's definitely kinda dorky, but the humor in it is funny and it's entertaining enough. And the intro/outro songs are awesome. I'll def keep watching it and maybe I will be a super fan by September when it's time for our con, haha. Or during their MHA panel, I'll use that time to go meet other guests since it will definitely be less crowded during that hour haha.
I’m on season two of Kaguya-sama. The characters are growing on me and I like seeing more of their family lives and lives outside of school over their romance games and antics.
Yessss. Great series. The animation style turns a lot of people off from the show, but I compare it to Studio Ghibli and I like that. Studio Witt doesn’t miss.
