I finally started watching Revolutionary Girl Utena after putting it off for like a million years. Kinda felt like I owe it to myself to watch it since I loved Penguindrum and I share a birthday with Kunihiko Ikuhara. So far it's great
yeah utena's episodic pacing is sometimes annoying and while i love the black rose circle arc it doesnt really have much impact on the rest of the story. the last few episodes are incredible though, probably my favorite ending to an anime.
I finished Million Lives. I feel like it introduced a lot of interesting developments and went to some dark places, but didn't go full throttle with any of them or the ramifications. I think with better writing, it could really have gone somewhere, but as it is, I found it to just be okay. I also watched the first season of Aggretsuko. It's charming in a light and fluffy kind of way, but I also am finding it to just be okay. I'm going to break up the seasons so as not to burn out on it. Now I've started Highschool Of The Dead, and this is some grade A high-quality swill.
asap rocky probably a big one piece fan tbh also a hunter x hunter fan because he’ll never release his new album
So last night I finished Highschool Of The Dead, and I have some thoughts. First, it is absolutely trash, but it definitely knows that it's trash, it revels in it, and I think it's relatively fun trash. It's basically exactly what I imagine an exploitative grindhouse zombie film would be if it was in anime form. It does what it says on the tin. I also feel like some of the responses people have to the events of the zombie outbreak are eerily reminiscent of real life responses people have had to Covid, and it's incredibly wild how accurately we can predict human behavior. It's unsettling. Finally, I'm a little sad to know that A. this adaptation ended just before a really good part of the story, and B. even if it was adapted, the creator passed away and so the story in general will never be complete. I was starting to really enjoy the characters and their madcap world. Anyway, my plan next is to watch another season of Aggretsuko, and then throw myself into Hi Score Girl.
Yes, I did. I don't have anything to say about the episode itself other than it always amuses me to some degree that a lot of anime tend to use their OVAs to go as extra as possible.
I'm no stranger to garbage. And I totally have some garbage on my list. I'm just waiting for the RNG-sama to spoon it up.
Almost all I watch and read is trash now. I can't focus on anything at all. I get bored of whatever I play, watch or read about five minutes in so I don't want to watch anything good.
When I was younger, I had the mindset of “life is short, so I only want to consume ‘good media’”. But mindlessness trash can be relaxing and fun in its own way.
I'm not liking the post because I like what you're saying. I'm liking because I agree. Depression sucks.
spy x family is so good, tatsuki fujimoto's assistants are just cracked another assistant of his made hell's paradise and ayashimon, both really good series
tbf endo has been trying to get a succesful series for a very long time now. what does floor me is that dandadan's mangaka also came out of that assistant group. that one is so good and is gonne be so big once it gets adapted
