I wasn’t feeling it. I’m trying Overlord now and like it a lot. Only on episode three, but I like the characters.
I liked Overlord for like the first season and a half and then I got bored but kept watching haha. I got very far, but eventually dropped it
One of my least favorite/most hated anime is Himouto! Umaru-chan. Absolutely dreadful character I wouldn't want anyone to have to sit through.
I'm gonna cause I've seen a lot of clips of it and I dunno, I like things. She's an annoying character but that's kind of the point, innit?
I have watched only the first season of Kaguya-sama, with intention to watch the second at some point, but I really enjoyed the first season, because I like bonkers antics and I love how these two nimrods bend over backwards to get the other to confess without even remotely hinting how they feel. It's one of those things where I guess you're either into the premise or you're not. I think it's really funny and the moments where they fuck up I find very charming and adorable. Don't want to spoil anything but the last episode of the first season is very satisfying. But again, you're either onboard or you're not, I guess. As for Overlord, I've watched all three seasons and I enjoy the characters and the world, but it's clear that the anime wanted to hold out on making Ains a full-on villain for as long as possible, with the cold logic they provide for even his more heinous actions in the first two seasons. Then he does something in Season 3 which really bothered me and that's when I realized they sold me on the illusion. Unfortunately in Season 3, they hit a point where they could no longer really hide that Ains is a fucking monster. I am looking forward to Season 4 though, and I love Isekai Quartet. All the best versions of the characters with none of the emotional horror.
(shrugs) I can't really comment since I've only seen clips here and there. I'll report back once I watch it, which could be anywhere from next week to next year, depending on how the RNG shakes out.
Someone was like "WATCH THE NEW SEASON OF WHATEVER THE HECK, ITS SO AMAZING" and then two more people said it so now it's on the back burner and could possibly never be watched no matter how much I enjoy it.
Does this work in reverse? Like, if someone tells you something sucks and two people concur, do you then watch it out of spite? Cause I do that sometimes.
My sole experience with sword art online was going back to this guy's house with my friend - he showed us his nunchuck and katana collection then proceeded to put on SAO abridged, insisting that specifically my friend, whose sole experience with anime was watching approximately 1 episode of DBZ when he was 5, would absolutely love it. We both sat there for about 10 minutes before making excuses and leaving
Sword Art Online is in my RNG list, and is one of the ones I'm dreading pulling because there are so many seasons now. Fate is another one, as is Gintama. There are some I deliberately kept off my list because I know they'll take me an eternity. Mainly the big ones: Naruto, One Piece, Bleach.
i remember the first like 10 episodes I was like this is 100% my shit and then it got weird really fast and I yikes out of so quick
I’m even more upset I waited to binge the whole attack on titan season when it finished just to have to wait even longer now
Shield Hero is getting a lot of hype and I thought about trying it, but I heard in season one, the main character is falsely accused of rape by a woman.
I have watched Shield Hero. I really enjoyed it and I really love the bond Naufomi gains with his companions as well as the way it subverts a lot of tropes about the chosen hero, and I'm looking forward to Season 2. That being said, yes, I can confirm that the plot kicks off with Naufomi being accused of rape by the king's daughter Malty, and the reasons why she does this and why the king accepts it would be spoilers to talk about. It's up to you if you want that to be a dealbreaker or not, and certainly it was a source of controversy when the title was first launched. However, I do think people would be missing out on something good.
