Oh no, don't be like me. Don't watch these trash anime: Ladies VS Butlers Triage X GLASSLIP Convenience Store Boy Friends Handshakers Monster Musume The Asterisk War
Like Musume is very much a dumb ecchi comedy, so you've gotta be okay with that to enjoy it fully, but I like the minutiae of each monster girl's biological whatever, like how the slime girl develops her own personality after mimicking the others and how the bird girl lays eggs.
I keep thinking about giving Glasslip a shot just because I love PAWORKS and I’ve heard some people say it’s not nearly as bad as people say but…I dunno.
No, it's awful. Also, trash can be very enjoyable. The Asterisk War and Chivalry of A Failed Knight came out at the same time and they are nearly the same EXACT show. It's crazy.
That's hilarious because I was going to comment on Asterisk War and I was going to describe it as similar to Chivalry Of A Failed Knight. And The Irregular At Magic High School. And Bladedance Of The Elementalers. I've seen all of these, by the way.
Yeah, but legitimately those two came out at the same time, have the same story/concept, the leads have the very similar red/pink hair color, they meet in the exact same way. It diverges after a few episodes, but it's always wild to see when shows do that to each other
I am aware this is something that manga does all the time, but it's just a joke when they are carbon copies. There's like at least two manga right now that are about people who get transported to another world and end up with Minecraft powers
I presume one of the two you're talking about is Farming Life In Another World? It's getting an anime, because of course it is. I'll probably watch it.
Quoting because I want to comment a little on Chivalry. One thing I give Chivalry credit for is not only committing unquestionably to the Ikki/Stella relationship but having them get engaged. Too many similar stories like to keep their relationships open-ended so they can play on fan expectations and ecchi shenanigans, so it's refreshing that Chivalry didn't do that.
I went to see the JJK movie. It’s an awesome prequel, but I’m curious if and when we’ll see him in the series. I finished Ranking of Kings. 10/10 show. WIT Studio never disappoints. I’m on episode five of Vinland Saga. I had no idea what to expect going in, so The plot twist surprised me. The OP is fire. I love the trend of heavier music for anime openings.
fyi if you go back and watch the JJK first season, multiple characters have referenced Okkotsu in passing several times already
More anime related than video game related, so I'm posting this here. I'm already excited today because the DanMachi mobile game is doing a second crossover with Date A Live. The first one was a surprisingly solid use of both licenses and was a lot of fun, so I'm looking forward to the worlds colliding again. However, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime's mobile game is doing a crossover with fucking Pac-Man and it is taking me places. Wild stuff.
Just finished the collab I mentioned above that paired DanMachi and Date A Live, and I'm pretty jazzed. I love the worlds and characters of both franchises and the fact that the creators worked together to write not one but two stories where those characters meet and also make it a meaningful story about more than just fanservice is just pretty goddamn great. The first story begins post-DanMachi II/Date A Live III with Ais Wallenstein becoming a Spirit and madness ensuing from there, while the current story is post-DanMachi III/Date A Live IV and basically being a true sequel, following up on lingering plot threads. The only annoying part is that because the current story takes place after Date A Live IV, which hasn't aired yet, there are characters and references included that will be lost on people who aren't familiar with the manga. In a similar vein, there are also DanMachi characters involved that are from mobile-only stories, so same problem if you aren't familiar with them. But for those that are, it's great. Anyway, I'm just sharing my good cheer. A lot of these collaborations tend to feel forced and like clear marketing ploys, but for some reason these two franchises just work really well together.
I love that both Masumune-kun's Revenge and The Fruit Of Evolution have both announced second seasons, and both have had to go out of their way to confirm it's not an April Fool's joke.
