So because there's just so much anime out there that I want to expose myself to, I decided to use a website to randomly pick an anime from a list I'm upkeeping to help me decide what to watch. The current winner is Durarara, and I finished the first 12 episodes and the first OVA (going in chronological order). Some random thoughts: The reveal that this kid from the sticks we've been following is not only the leader of the mysterious Dollars, but also became the leader by complete fucking accident blew my goddamn mind. Then again, in retrospect, it's somewhat obvious that he was always obfuscating stupidity. The reveal that the random chatting people I'd been seeing through these episodes are actually Mikado, Izuya, and Celty, is such a random assortment of people and completely awesome. Celty is adorable in that she's an asskicking spectre of death who also happens to be extremely terrified of aliens. Loving it. Everyone on this goddamn show has a really fucked up concept of what love looks like.
There’s a new trailer for part 2 of the Chainsaw Man manga. Most of it is images from part 1, but it’s still awesome.
a little disappointed that there was no update on the anime. makes sense to premiere it in summer to coincide with part 2 but the fact that they didnt say anything makes me think it might come later than that.
I wonder if they’ll change the ending at all since it was so poorly received (I liked the ending and I’m not sure why it’s so hated)

Oh, it gets worse. Rurouni Kenshin Creator Nobuhiro Watsuki Fined 200,000 Yen for Possession of Child Porn
Sorry. As someone who once enjoyed the Lostprophets, I think I know a little of what you might be feeling right now.
After finishing Durarara, the next anime my random selector chose is Full Dive, the anime about a game made to feel just like real life. I wasn't expecting much beyond a fluffy SAO-type, but I've been finding the premise suprisingly somewhat interesting. Kind of like Konosuba meets Westworld, in that the sense of humor is wildly unhinged but does incorporate some interesting thoughts about the game world and what it means to pursue realism. Already almost done with it since it's only 12 episodes.
