Just started reading the Spy x Family manga, it’s so great. Hope they do the anime adaptation in the future justice to the source material.
Just watched Super Cub, and while it's an extremely blatant advertisement for Honda scooters, it's also an incredibly relaxing and comfy SoL. Highly recommend it for any fans of the genre
Saint Seiya: Sean Bean, Famke Janssen in Knights of Zodiac Live Action – The Hollywood Reporter I've never watched this anime, but my brain still instinctively went "Ooooh... nooooo...".
I’ve started reading ahead of where the anime left off for Jujutsu Kaisen and just got to the Shibuya Incident arc and oh my god it’s amazing
How far are you into it? It’s crazy to me that they would have such a huge event (in terms of how it changes the dynamics of everything) so relatively early into the series. I guess it’s kind of on par with the Sound village attack of the Leaf Village in Naruto, but like x10
Fucking oooof. everything about this has screamed fanmade cosplay movie. Vicious looks AWFUL, the shot of the Swordfish taking off looked bad.
hopefully they do this movie to episodes thing only once because I don’t want mha doing it with all the movies they’ll make
I was reading people talk about it on Anime News Network and apparently it's not an uncommon thing, even though it does still suck. At least they're supposed to be adding new material to the adaptation, so it's not like they're just slicing the movie into episodes.
I honestly don’t see the reason to do that. The movie broke records, so it’s not like nobody saw the movie.
From what I've gleaned from the comments on ANN as well as based on some things I'm going to pull out of my ass, I can see the thought process going like this. Despite how well the movie did, there are still people who didn't see the movie and some who in fact prefer to digest their anime on TV and don't want to have to see a movie. By carving the movie into episodes and also fleshing it out further with extra scenes (and from what I understand, scenes that take place prior to the movie), it allows them to have more episodes for the current season while spending less effort to make them, since the bulk is already made. It's my understanding it's only seven episodes out of the season, and the rest will be the Entertainment District Arc. I'm sure it sucks for the people who don't want the arc to be retread, but frankly, if they didn't do this, I doubt it would mean more episodes for another arc. I think it would just mean less episodes in general.
I'd also like to add that I haven't watched Demon Slayer yet at all, so I really have no stake in this whatsoever. I'm just playing devil's advocate for no reason!
Having read the manga, the villain introduced at the end of the Demon Slayer movie is a big deal later on in the series and is not really formally introduced anywhere else except for that scene at the end of the movie. So if someone was just watching the anime and that part of the movie was not included in the series, then they would be missing out on why Tanjiro cared so much about fighting the character
The new season of Dragon Maid was a lot of fun, if not a little too overboard with the boob fanservice
