While we're talking about stuff we're watching, I'm currently in the middle of watching the Certain series and trying to go in chronological order. I watched Railgun 1 and 2, Index 1, and Accelerator, and now I'm on Index 2. I'll follow up with the movie, Railgun 3, and end with Index 3.
On the subject of feel-good anime, Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 3 was just announced, and I couldn't be more happy about it.
The opening song is one of the best anime openings I've heard in a long time. It's so so good. The ending song is pretty good too, but not as good.
Oh my god, Aho Girl was so so stupid but wonderful. This is kind of a twist on the harem anime where the main character isn't a shitbag and everyone's fully aware of the situation. It's pretty funny and requires probably less than 2% brain power to enjoy.
a good OP is honestly all it takes for me to give something a shot. I watched Higehiro this year solely because the opening is such a banger
Damn. I didn't realize this was a ONE manga or I'd have been all over it sooner. That said, you can tell from the very first episode that its his lol.
All caught up on To Your Eternity, I thought new episodes came out Sunday night...was hoping to slide right into the finale after episode 19. Guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow morning. I like it. The artwork/animation feels kind of cheap at times. Maybe overly simple? I think I'm just spoiled from a lot of older stuff I've been binging the last couple months. and I'm starting to kind of resent it for just how depressing it is haha. It's on me for not researching it at all, but I was expecting this to be a one season show and only just now saw it's on chapter 148 and still going so....fuck.
It’s been announced for a while. An anime YouTuber I like interviewed the director and it seems to be in good hands…so far.
Yeah. From what I’ve seen and read, the style is cartoony. I don’t see how it’ll translate to live action.
It's so cartoon and exaggerated in every aspect, it takes full advantage of being unrealistic so yeah unless they change it a ton I can't see it working. Can they even make a decent looking live action stretchy person? Lol
As someone who’s favorite show is One Piece… the idea of live action One Piece sounds terrible. There’s no way they can pull off Luffy like that.
Laughing at the idea of a live-action Luffy going up against some guy who is like 30-ft tall and 20-ft wide who looks like a pink lion and can turn himself into a cannonball or whatever
it just feels like such a waste of resources that could go to original ideas. just make a cool pirate adventure show inspired by One Piece if you must. I'd be more interested in that, at least it wouldn't immediately feel like a cosplay fanfic like most anime live action adaptations.
I’m hoping they choose a more… realistic (in size and appearance) enemy. Like Crocodile or a Navy Admiral. If they throw some crazy shit out it’s gonna go about as well as the live action Attack on Titan Titans went.
I’d recommend reading it instead. The pacing is pretty weird, there’s too much recap, and filler. Check it out on the Shonen Jump app.
