I was reading comments the manga readers said this was a meh time in the series because the writer had some health problems during it so it was mostly flashbacks and fights so I can’t fault that but dang 13 episodes for that arc just seemed like excessive.
I’ve never been a manga reader due to time constraints and stuff but man I’ve heard a lot of people talk up chainsaw man manga and I know the anime is coming soon but it just sounds like it’ll be good so I kinda want to start picking up manga.
Its so fun and creative. Highly recommend it, I read through it all in a day. Really hope the anime does it justice.
I’m actually reading it right now. It’s really good. The beginning was a little rough, but the characters grown on you and the world-building is pretty cool. There’s some scenes that are going to be really badass when it’s an anime. The series is for sure going to blow up though. Only around 100 chapters now and it’s on a hiatus.
The most recent anime arc of MHA is basically the last time in the series (so far) that is relatively lighthearted and really showcases all of people in the class. From this point on it’s about to become extremely plot-heavy and focused on the central most powerful characters, for at least the next two seasons. The second half of this season is going to be pretty dark and (big spoiler) from the point of view of the villains, and the next season is almost entirely going to be basically what the show has been building to this whole time.
Started Hunter x Hunter today and some of the music reminds me of something you’d hear in a DQ game haha
Lol not trying to hype it up but it is definitely like the MHA equivalent of the Pain’s Assault arc in Naruto. I’d recommend reading the comic!
I wish there was a easier way to read manga because I don’t like hard copy of it and I don’t know which app is the best to read it
Here’s a mini-review for Chainsaw Man I just did for a group I’m in... Today I finished... Chainsaw Man part 1 (chapters 1-97). This is up there with Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer. It has the potential to be the next big thing in anime/manga when the anime premieres soon. I flew through this on the Shonen Jump app. If you want physical editions, volume five just came out and it ends at chapter 43. Chainsaw Man is basically about a boy that hunts devils for a mob boss to repay his debt. He’s a homeless orphan. During one mission, he joins with his pet dog/chainsaw and turns into Chainsaw Man. Makima, a master devil hunter who works for Public Safety (kinda like police) find him and she recruits him. In this world, devil hunters make contracts with devils to use their powers. So it’s cool to see the supporting cast’s powers and what devils they’ve made contracts with. There are so many twists and additions to the lore and mythos that it never gets boring. It’s so fast paced and turned up to eleven. 97 chapters sounds like a lot, but it flew by. The devil character designs are really cool and look straight outta Hellraiser. There is some cliche Shonen humor that I could have done without, but it’s whatever. If you’re looking for your next obsession, check this out.
Just finished the first big arc of HxH and the few episodes with Killua's family and this show is a damn joy. Now on to the Heavens Arena arc!
Continuing my PA Works binge, watched Iroduku: World of Colors which is one of the most beautiful looking anime I've ever seen. And I just finished Shirobako, super interesting to watch an anime about making anime. It's fucking insane that a series can start airing when later episodes haven't even been animated yet (I know live action does this but seems like such an unnecessary crunch for the workers) Also slowly making my way through Bakemonogatari but it's exhausting.
I am on the chimera ant arc of hunter x hunter and man this arc is truly so damn long for no reason at all.
I don't think it's worth all the waiting. I know people say it's the best arc and one of the best anime arcs, but I am hard in the other direction on that.
I liked it fine but good god the length is so absurd. More ridiculous than the big DBZ fights, and the narrator explaining every little step of the fight is such a chore to listen to. It’s especially bizarre in the light of how no preceding arc was like that at all
I’ve been watching Black Clover and thought it was just alright but then Yami fought Licht and I’m absolutely hooked
Just finished Violet Evergarden and jesus christ, some of those episodes absolutely devastated me. Now I gotta find the movies I guess
