Only 9 tracks is a little disapointing to me especially since i can hear you laugh was on a comp surprised that it will be on the record since that one and sink from another comp ive been listening to for awhile now. Still excited for the record though. Quality over quantity is never a bad thing.
And here is i can hear you laugh @Zac Djamoos bought them both off of bandcamp awhile ago. Overplayed it but i never thought it would be on their album
Wow great lineup on this comp. this song is really good too. I assume it’s probably gonna have been rerecorded for the album if it’s that old
Yeah both comps have some great stuff on them I'm thinking yes will be interesting to see how different it is.
Pre order now up Even though ANIMAL FLAG have been making music since 2009, it’s best to think of the Boston-based band’s new album, VOID RIPPER, as a beginning rather than a continuation. For starters, it’s the first release from the band’s current lineup — but perhaps more importantly, it’s another entry in Animal Flag’s continual reinvention. “I tend to think of music and the music I’m apart of as an album-by-album endeavor,” frontman Matthew Politoski says. “Each one is its own thing that creates a universe.” Heavily influenced by folk artists like Sufjan Stevens and David Bazan, Politoski’s meditative musical voice gives Void Ripper an introspective aura that counters the heavy rock influences of his bandmates. To that end, the album is all at once intimate and expansive, booming alternative rock often shrouded in dark undertones and the occasional electronic flourish but colored with introspective soul-searching themes.
I don't know i was just saying when it was released. I'm sure it will not be exactly the same. We shall see.
I think it will be very different.. only bc its so old. Also the vocals on some of these songs seem to be taking a more agressive role, wouldn't be surprised if he sings up the octave on that chorus on the new version.
This month has Black Foxxes and TROW then AF in April. Great alternative/indie rock releases coming out in the next couple of weeks.
i have so little interest in all of those other than this lol probably going to the philly release show, i see oso is on the NYC date, that's cool
