This is my first experience with Animal Flag and I am really digging this. Fair showed up on my Spotify Release Radar and blew me away. Great album so far!
I've only listened once, and it was in my car, but I wasn't feeling the album. Seemed like a big departure from the vibe of LP, which I loved, but I'll surely be listening to it a few more times at least.
Anyone know who the other vocalist on Lord of Pain is? I don't have my LP to hand to check and those harmonies are awesome
Paige Chaplin, contributes vocals to the stretch from 'Fair' to 'I Can Hear You Laugh'. Also featured on 'LP' too! All this info is on Bandcamp if you are wondering.
Thank you! Gonna need to check her out. I don't remember any female vocals on LP, definitely gonna need to go and check again.
There are a bunch of guests on this album, all pals of them. The wonderful Michi Tassey from Really From (FKA People Like You) is on the album as well
i'd say vocally 100 percent but I hear way less similarities in the instrumentals. I think this is a bit more interesting than that record was.. I enjoyed that album but it didn't have a lot of staying power for me ha.
This album has a few duds on it for me, like "Candace" and "Why", not that they're terrible, but they're mediocre in my opinion. Overall this is pretty dang good though, "Fair", "Void Ripper" and "I Can Hear You Laugh" are all great. BTW that video above is awesome, now I got to check out Emperor X.
please do, his record last year was far and away the best thing out last year, and it might not even be the best in his discography. best live artist in existence
pretty easily, yeah. an A+ with a bunch of other A's around it nothing got close to knocking that off from the moment i heard it
Enjoying Emperor X "Oversleepers International" so far, reminds me a bit of Weatherbox, which I love so this is some good stuff.
hell yeah! it's really great, easily the most accessible of his stuff. western teleport is a masterpiece though as well
