It's funny to me reading complaints like this. Not because they're not valid, they definitely are, but a lot of people I know who have been with the series since the gamecube just accept all of these things as quirks of the game lol.
Also, left and right on the d-pad cycle between items, so if you need to constantly go back and forth between two items left and right are your friends
I just wish I could preview items while they're in my pocket instead of having to place them Also, crafting a backpack totally should give you more storage
You can buy in bulk (certain items) but you can’t buy fish bait. Sometimes, i just want to throw Nintendo out the window
I'm going to start only dropping off donations to Blathers if I have multiple so I don't need to deal with the guilt of telling him I'm too busy to hear what he knows about them.
Saw this video and figured I'd try a few tickets to see if I could come across the island. Got there first try and already have 2 sturgeons. Now to get the stringfish. Starts @ ~4:15
I've donated so much to that museum and not once have I listened to a word he has to say about them lol
Yeah that helps but you have to set it manually. I'm talking something like "ok this is my default stone axe spot, nothing goes here except stone axes, which go there automatically." If they're gonna make it so you have to keep remaking your tools, it just makes sense to me that that would be the immediate next step. Yeah this is my first AC game and I don't see those as quirks at all, just such basic flaws that could have been done probably so easily but aren't for some strange reason lol Some other things: -The map is basically useless as it is. It's a tiny island! You remember where stuff is pretty quickly! But the one thing that WOULD be useful is an interactive map showing where other villagers/friends are. That's the ONE thing that is constantly changing but it isn't shown on the map. -Bulk crafting, as was said before -Why do some items -- minerals/shells/fruit/wood -- compound in your pocket (eg 10 fruit per space) but fish/bugs/fossils don't? -Not being able to craft and customize in the same action -- like before you craft something, you have the option to simultaneously automatically customize to the color set you want. Instead, if you want to craft a new customized item (especially something you make a lot, like tools) you have to go through two distinct steps Again these are all really minor but when they add them up in my head I end up feeling like "If I was creating this game then these would all seem so basic and intuitive extensions of these game aspects and it blows my mind that they did not do them" lol
It'd also be pretty nice to be able to see the health of your tools. Give me a heads up if I'm about to break my axe
Yes forgot about this. Even something like in BOTW where you don't know *exactly* but it warns you like 5 hits before it breaks
In terms of getting there, yes. But my island is exactly the same as the one in this video (except fruit). I think all these special islands seem to be the same layout every time, just no control over how to get there.
reminds me in New Leaf one of my neighbors got sick so he asked me to grab some medicine. and for a reward he gave me medicine.
The console is constantly saving the last 30 seconds of gameplay so if you press and hold the screenshot button, you can save it.
