How do you get the ability to build a bridge??

 

It happens after you build the shop. Tom will tell you people are moving to the island but that there might not be enough space so he gives you a recipe for a bridge.

 

Lol it's ok. I think the game just freaked out when it happened.

You need to have invited someone from one of the mystery islands to move to your island and you will get the recipe around the time you get the bridge kit.

 

The ppl i invited better get there asap
