The moving away thing is entirely random, messing with the villagers doesn't effect who randomly gets picked to wanna leave. It seems to happen every two weeks too. I've been timetraveling a bunch to spice things up, and you can pretty much set your clock to *when* a villager is gonna get the cloud, but i've found no rhyme or reason for *which* villager wants to leave. Also haven't been able to get the cloud to shift like some people in here say they've been able to do.

It finally worked for me but if you want a villager to leave, when someone has a cloud just don’t talk to them and every day it will be a new person. It took me like 10 days for it to reach the villager I didn’t like haha
