I missed this yesterday because I was doing turnip stuff, but if you bought the digital version of the game (if you didn't, you could always try to return it and buy from the e-shop), there's a workaround to play on two systems. You need to sign into the Nintendo account on the second Switch, redownload the game, and then play as a second user (not the one linked to the Nintendo account) on whichever is your primary console. You need to be connected to the internet to play on whichever Switch isn't the primary console (it checks to make sure the game isn't already in use by the same account), but you can play on both systems so long as you aren't both using users linked to the same Nintendo account. You'll have different islands and can play at the same time (including visiting each other). Sorry if that's confusing. A real example, in case it's helpful: I bought the digital game on my regular Switch, then bought a Switch Lite for my partner a few weeks later. I signed into my Nintendo account on the Switch Lite, set it as the primary console, downloaded the game, and created a second user. She plays the game as the second user on the Switch Lite, and I play on my Nintendo Account on my regular Switch, since it's basically never away from the internet.
It’s 2HP2M All of the flowers are north and to the right near the resident services. It kind of became the flower areas as I’ve started working on the outside regions of my island lol. @alina if you can’t come now I should probably be able to get on later!
@loudasallgetout thanks for the cherry box. Sent you peach and pear. the last one I need is orange if anyone wants to help me out!
This is helpful but i'm still a little confused lol. So I did download the game from the e-shop using my wife's nintendo account, I have my own nintendo account but they're linked as a family group, with my account as the admin. I also bought us the family plan to use for online play. So when I get my Switch Lite (it'll be here tomorrow) I need to have her sign in to it, download the game, and then would I be able to then sign in myself to play or i'd have to use her sign in on my Switch to play it?
I haven't tried it, but I don't see why you couldn't. I don't know how the family plan will affect this (either just playing or accessing online services). But as far as the second paragraph goes, you should be able to sign in to play yourself, without her signing back in after downloading (assuming you have internet access for it to check if the game is playable). I found the article I learned how to do it from, but haven't reread to see if it answers any of these questions.
idk, everyone I know who switched says you can’t move your files to the console so they start allover again.
I’m pretty sure you can’t transfer your island from one switch to another. You can transfer save data with other games though.
You can't transfer the save file, but you can play the game on two consoles (with one digital purchase). It would be two different islands.
@morgantayler I'm glad you got to see me fumble my buttons for like 30 seconds straight while trying to catalog those items lol
That will be me. 100% chance. I'm hoping to find breaks with work to be on for folks this afternoon but I for sure will be on later tonight around 7:30pm or so.
@morgantayler what was the name of the beach things I just catalogued? I can't find it in my list and I'm going crazy lol
