He was the very first villager I found on my last hunt too but I passed on him. I didn't realize he was pretty popular. 40 trips later and I didn't find anyone better.

 

Oof that was me with Snake. Found him on like my third island and passed and then never found anyone close to as cool as him lol. Found Bruce on my first trip yesterday and took him without hesitation, I didn’t want to repeat my mistake lol.

Penguins have to be the most common. Between the islands and the campsite I think I’ve seen every Penguin in the game.
