So I’m thinking about time traveling just for the purpose of getting someone I don’t want to leave. If I do it, when I’m done with everything can I just return to the real date and the new person will be there? Or do I have to stay in the future

 

i just filled this out. are you supposed to hit a "save" on google docs for other people to see your changes? i don't actually know how this works, lol

I’m gonna fill out that sheet but I have to wait til I get to my laptop because I can’t seem to edit it on my phone (unless I’m dumb)

No game progress is erased if you travel backwards, so everything you do in the future will be kept/saved if you return to present time

The new villagers have some really lame interiors, audies is the only decent one imo and cyds is alright

 

Rodeo asked to leave recently and even though he’s one of my newest villagers, I think I’m ok with letting him go. He says the same stuff Big Top does. Now I got Lobo the cranky wolf and he seems fun. Between him and Freya I have two wolf villagers now :D

I had been saving nook miles for the next time I had a villager leave. Well I have my empty plot today and found Bruce on my first island. I’ve really been wanting a deer and he seems pretty badass so I took him. I have so many nook miles now haha.

Someone offered me 100nmt for Audie, I’m tempted to take it just to try to find Raymond lol I’m giving her to my friend, who has a ridiculous schedule but it’s definitely tempting.

 

I know you have to time travel to do it but I don't understand how you trade villagers.. do you literally just have to skip days and days and days until the right villager you want to trade is leaving so that someone can come get them? And that other person has to do the same so that they are on a day with an empty plot?

I have 40k nook miles and really have no desire to travel using nmt

 

You really don’t have to, so many people are giving up villagers you want for nothing

 

Yeah I'm back up to like 65K nook miles but there's really no incentive to go when you aren't looking for villagers. A random tree item and maybe a message in a bottle is all. I definitely feel like I'm reaching the endgame.

 

The only reason to use nmt is if you want Raymond, the mystery island thing is definitely fun

 

Yea, basically lol you have to trust the other person. Or you could just give a villager to someone for nmt or bells and then trade that for a villager you want

 

So really unless it's a top tier villager you can probably get them for free on Nookazon? Or pay a reasonable price for a top tier?

 

If you look hard and are patient you can get almost any villager free, other than maybe Raymond or Judy. People give them away in fb groups or on reddit, sometimes twitter. If you’re trading something for a villager tho be extra careful because of scammers but most people will just take a tip and be cool with that. I just traded 4 pink hyacinths for bob and two purple flowers for molly yesterday, it tired me out getting two villagers to leave within a few hours of one another but it was worth it.

So is it weird I've had this for like 6 weeks and haven't had a meteor shower that I'm aware of? Am I doing something wrong to not get them lol

It's completely random unfortunately lol. It seems that you can generally have one at least once a month. They will tell you in the daily announcements if there is going to be one.

From what I understand, you can potentially see shooting stars on any night as long as the sky is clear. There just won't be as many as there would be during a meteor shower so it's harder to see one unless you're just standing there doing nothing.

 

I got the game when it came out and I have only seen celeste once lol. It's annoying
