You talk to them until they want to "play a game" to get them to move in (you guess what card they're gonna draw) and then they'll offer to move in - if you have less time 10 villagers they'll just move in, if you have 10 they'll offer to replace one - it's random, so you wanna reset the system before it autosaves if the person they pick isn't the villager you wanna lose. Repeat process until you get what you want

Yeah, I don't think I have any cowries in my storage, and it takes 6 cowries (I believe) for one bench, but I'll save any I find and whenever you have enough or just wanna knock some out lemme know :)

museum is an option, just in case you haven’t looked there

 

is it rare? i think i have some blue flowers (have not put any effort in crossbreeding whatsoever).

i have a friend who has a bunch of blue roses

 

The rose specifically is the rarest in the game. If you are lucky enough to have Roses as your native flower and can get hybrids on an island its not bad. Otherwise it takes a shit load of time or a shit load of luck.

Other blue flowers aren't bad.
