Celeste is on my island and I've been staring at the sky for the last 5 minutes. Why does this not work?

I can't wait to be further into the game like the rest of y'all. Wish I had started this back in March but work and grad school is a tough combo.

Question, how do you guys catalog DIY recipes? I'm not following when that's the conversation.

I wish residents thinking about moving out wasn't completely random. The one I talk to the most just said they were thinking about it, and that is only the 3rd one to ask. I understand they want everyone to have a chance to move out, but can't they at least make the ones I don't talk to much ask me first lol

 

Celeste doesn't seem to be a guarantee for shooting stars, especially if she doesn't mention anything about a meteor shower, from what I can tell though there will at least be *some* shooting stars if she's around.

also does anyone know if there’s a way for starting villagers to get their actual interior layout?

Sprinkle is my favorite villager but I feel bad because her house is so ugly, and then I just found this is what her house looks like if you find her later in the game:

 

I think you could give them the items and wallpapers and stuff, but I don't think there's a way to "reset" them or anything :/

What time of day did you catch your giant trevally? It's the only fish I still need. I've been crafting 50ish bait each day and have been using it around 7:30pm or so. I've gone through hundreds by now. Thinking I may have better luck during another time of day?

 

@alina I had Norma move in and she said she came from your island lol

 

That is wild, I just let her move out so if you waited a day you may have had my Norma lmao

 

If you ignore it, the next day the bubble might get passed to another villager. Just don’t talk to them at all until you see it on a different villager.

 

Don’t think you can unless you let them leave and then bring them back, that’s what I’m doing now with all my older villagers. It sucks but it’s probably beneficial for their own happiness.

 

so I bargained with someone (who was probably just really cool) for peanut and got her, now I’m gonna move her next to filbert and they can be cute together

 

Is there a way to tell the moving bubble as opposed to the bubble that they want to give you something or change their catchphrase? I probably get 3 or 4 bubbles a day so it's not always easy to tell.

 

You’re right, it’s not, one way you can do it is if you talk to them but don’t end the conversation, go to your home menu and turn the game off. Otherwise, it’ll autosave.

 

I spent forever last night trying to get someone I liked as my last villager. Settled on Audie because I couldn’t find any of my top 3

I was so sceptical of this game when it game out but got it after a week or so and I'm actually addicted.

Can't seem to plant enough flowers to get to three stars though. Planted loads over the last day or two but waiting for them to bloom is annoying.
