anyone got any advice on island-scaping? i am pretty overwhelmed by this and have no idea really where to even begin lol

I haven't done much island-scaping because I also think it's overwhelming, but those little islands in the middle of rivers are good for makeshift/temporary bridges.

 

moving houses, buildings, etc. - forming paths/walkways, decorating, etc lol just making it not look like i just have buildings in a forest like it looks now haha

 

I'd say start by placing all the buildings where you want them, otherwise you end up wasting time with paths and shit if you move the houses later.

 

Coach was trying to move yesterday so I turned the game off to before I asked him about it and he spent the day wandering with the thought bubble above his head. Today it rolled over to Nan. I'm going to keep ignoring them until it rolls over to the villager I want to move.

I thought you could encourage an islander to move through resident services. Is that not correct? I haven’t tried but I thought I read that.
