I've been stung by a scorpion twice! Still can't catch it.

 

Do they behave the same way as tarantulas?

 

Only had one scorpion so far but I didn't see a jump or anything to time your swing to, it got me easily

 

No, they immediately turn around and attack you. It happens so fast you don't have time to aim your net and swing.

 

the two scorpions that I just caught acted exactly like tarantulas

 

I never got to see a tarantula so hopefully I see a scorpion

 

oh yeah, apparently there's frogs we can catch?? i went to a coworker's island yesterday and she had one in her museum; said she got it from the river!

 

I got mine from a pond.

Though I caught a Koi in a river once and I thought those were only in ponds so who knows maybe frogs are in rivers too.

I caught a frog today and a super cool looking huge moth (Atlas moth) that startled me because it was just hanging onto a tree.

However, I've been walking around tonight hoping for revenge on the scorpion. When I finally gave up, I was coming out of Res Services and it was right behind the bulletin board. There is so must distance between these two, I took one step towards it and it saw me and sprinted to sting me again!!! This is so annoying. You faint and get sent home. I WANT THIS SUCKER IN MY NET.

 

Attempt #4. I was too scared to approach, it kept changing direction and some trees were in my way. I waited too long and it despawned. This is my Moby Dick.

 

Can confirm the frog is in both the river and the pond.

I gave it as a gift to my Frog villager and he said it looked delicious and he couldn't wait to eat it. And then he said "but I probably shouldn't...probably".
