So I found someone on twitter with 603 turnips, so I've just made a cool 4 million bells

 

Anyone else have some issues growing trees? I have an orchard with all 5 types of fruit. Everything is planted with spaces in between. Some trees are growing and some aren't. I can't see a rhyme or reason to which ones are and which ones aren't.

 

maybe some of the trees are too close to a house, structure or another tree

i think that’s how it works

 

No structures nearby. All trees equal distance from other trees that are growing no problem. I don't get it.

 

I have this exact same problem. 2-3 trees in my orchard seemingly won’t grow. All spaced exactly evenly. They started to grow, like they got past the little shrub phase. But they’ve been stuck in one of the middle phases for at least a week.

 

Yeah it’s weird. I might just grow them somewhere else and then move them to the orchard.

Does Celeste appearing guarantee shooting stars? She's on my island for the first time tonight and I keep checking for shooting stars but not seeing anything.

 

I don't think so, from my experience it just seems that she's only there to give you the wand recipe. I think Nook or Isabelle gave me a heads up about shooting stars on a different night
