I actually kinda like this. I enjoy when the game gives me tasks to complete for a prize. It's nice to have goals sometimes instead of mindlessly wandering
The effect on fishing is a valid criticism, but my take is that people are being a bit dramatic about this? Does it negatively impact your experience THAT much to get like, 25% less wood and rocks? Idk, maybe it's because the game is so new and everyone is still so amped on the core gameplay, but the seasonal events are what keep me returning to these games long after release. I'm digging the event so far and Zipper, while creepy, is super dope imo haha. And people are really complaining about having ... more ... furniture and DIY recipes? I agree that the seasonal furniture is usually tacky and I never deck a full room out in it, but I've always enjoyed trying to take one or two pieces from each season and trying to slip them into my rooms in a creative way. I like some of the bunny stuff so far.
Okay... I'm still able to get plenty of fossils, floating presents, wood, and stones, but I've literally gotten like 15 eggs while fishing in a row and then the last one I got is a tire. Why are there so many more water eggs!?
I have no desire to build egg themed furniture that I am never going to put in my house lol Fishing is annoying now because I get an egg basically every other fish (TIP: use bait! you won't get eggs when you use bait ) I also have not shot down a present today that wasn't an egg. It's not that I hate the eggs, I feel like there is just too many of them
Well, crafting all the egg themed stuff gets you a prize from the Bunny right? That's what I'm holding out for. But if it's more Easter shit I'm going to be bummed lol I just want bells

The egg presents float noticeably faster than the regular presents, so it's pretty easy to avoid them if you want.
I think that’s totally fair, I just love fishing and was excited to catch a specific thing that came today and instead I’m getting an egg every other time to get furniture I do not want for a reward I probably do not want The other seasonal events seem great but this should have been three days tops
Yeah like I said the fishing criticism is totally valid and, if you spend a lot of time fishing in the game, will kinda suck. It woulda been better if it was either shorter or you could talk to Zipper and tell him you didn't want to look for eggs or something and it would "turn off". Personally I'm having fun with it, hopefully everyone else is more on board with future holidays!
i might be wrong but i think the egg balloons have design on the balloon itself? and furniture ones have red balloon. i would need to confirm tom because i already shot down 2 furniture balloon
Yep this is true, although I think the furniture ones also hold DIY recipes for Easter themed stuff so it isn't completely foolproof
you know what’s annoying? trying to catch a fish and it feels like the joycon is rumbling extra so you’re expecting a rare fish and then it’s a sea bass fucking C plus
Pretty sure most green balloons are furniture, red are clothes and the blue and yellow are usually a mix. It could all be completely random tho
So is there a way to get the recipe for the simple fence Nook gave me to start? I haven't seen it anywhere to buy
Your Nook Stop Terminal will have two different fence recipes per day and it's part of the random rotation through there. I finally saw it on like the 4th or 5th day haha.
