i got so worried about catching a stringfish this weekend and then about an hour into my hunt i happened to look in my log and realized i caught one already

 

I found a sturgeon today, completely randomly.

 

I was trying to get miles by catching 50 fish in a row without losing any. I LOST THE 50TH ONE

 

Anyone still looking for the sturgeon/stringfish I’d recommend just dumping a bunch of miles into island hopping until you get to that rare fish island. You can force spawn the sturgeon and there seems to be a way higher chance of the stringfish too.

Something that worries me is it seems like it’s going to be harder and harder to get Nook miles as you fill up your objectives. I’m not really looking forward to grinding out 10+ of the random objectives just for one ticket to a mystery island

 

I’m hoping they refill it during the next update

 

Like I haven’t seen or spoken to a Rizzo so idk why his name is on the plot of land that says sold

it's really not that bad - the upgraded community center gets you one x5 daily so that's usually 850-1000 right there, plus some of the easy x2 ones like crafting, catching fish/bugs make it pretty easy to get at least 2k a day even only playing for a little while

 

Made over $164k on tarantulas and as soon as I exited the shop, there was a tarantula just sitting there that I caught right away lol sweet

 

The upgraded resident services x5 thing, is that the daily bonus for using the ATM or is there something else I should be doing!?

And for sure it’s still doable, my favorite part of the game is going to those islands and hoping for a rare/cool one so I usually try and grind out three tickets during the day and head out at night, it just hasn’t felt like a chore to do but I have a feeling it will be soon. I know even the bonus/random ones still come together organically tho if you’re doing regular shit throughout the day

 

Got the sturgeon. Tried the trick where you make all the fish in the river disappear. Not sure if that's why it worked or just lucky.

 

ah no, one of the random objectives gives you x5 instead of the x2 you get from the first set of five, i forgot about the atm bonus too

i'm with you that they do need to refresh the list at some point, hopefully there are new sets for events and such.

Paid off my incline today and I’m excited to have a bit of a route that takes me over a bridge and up an incline so I can start to get around my island more freely without pole or ladder. I have so many ideas for terraforming, I’m getting impatient lol.

I also paid out the remainder of my ten house plots today. Not terribly worried about their location. I’d like to do more terraforming and planning to make more of a tight knit town area so I’ll be moving a good chunk of my houses anyways.

 

@oldjersey tire stacks are the hot item on my island today.

 

My turnips were 138 this afternoon so I sold about half of them. Figured I could at least make a small profit and get some cash flow going today, and then hopefully I can still hold out for a bigger payday later in the week.

 

PomPom moved into one of mine and I had never seen her before.

 

I think they’re all like that unless you have a vacant space

 

hell yeah bugged a guy on twitter and sold my turnips for 614

 

So despite wishing on like 30+ stars, I only ended up with 14 star fragments and 1 large star fragment. Weird.

So what do I do with them? Lol
