They're playing a ton of new music live, new album must be close Hear A Bunch Of The New Songs Animal Collective Debuted On Tour This Week

 

I went to the show on Saturday, was about 3 rows back and the new songs sounded good. It was in this beautiful wooded area, a totally rad venue and very intimate. Such a great show and I feel lucky that I was there.

 

Was looking for an official thread for these guys, but didn’t see one. Man I dig them. Only been listening for a year, but both Strawberry Jam/MPP are real special. Need to dig into the rest of their discog.

 

mpp is amazing but feels takes the #1 spot for me - v special album

I actually went through their discography recently. Their earlier stuff is pretty out there.. but Strawberry Jam, MPP and Painting With are fantastic. I didn’t find Centipede Hz as accessible as their later stuff but I do really love Moonjock. Painting With is just so catchy and fun - especially tracks like Natural Selection and Bagels In Kiev.

Overall In The Flowers and Brother Sport are probably my all time fav AC songs.

Other great favorites - Leaf House, Grass, Graze, Honeycomb, Winter Wonderland and What Would I Want? Sky.

 

One of the highlights of this year, for me, has been getting into Feels for the first time.

 

Crazy how “Feels” was made by tuning all the instruments to a friend’s old out of tune piano to give the album its sound.

Fall be kind EP is fabulous too

 

Damn totality forgot about that one, What Do I Want Sky is incredible

 

Sung Tongs through Fall Be Kind is such an incredible run. At this point I would probably say Strawberry Jam is the best, but they're all great. And Person Pitch came out right in the middle of all that!!!

 

Bro, “Bros” from Person Pitch is a sonic adventure. I may like that track alone more than any AC song.
