Just discovered her when on a binge of listening to Australian musicians (hence the past few threads I just made) and I get a Lucy Dacus vibe, which immediately caught my attention because I love Lucy.

I was on a kick yesterday and discovered a bunch of them. One of my friends loves Alex Lahey and when searching her on google I came across other Australian musicians, and I was hooked haha.

 

She has an album coming out this year which I had no idea about, so I edited the title :)

 

Awesome! I can make a playlist of my favourite Aus/NZ music if you like!

 

You don't have to if it's an inconvenience! I've been using last.fm and looking at similar artists to discover others.

Semi related, but I love Stella Donnelly, however, I need to listen to Julia Jacklin more. She's on my list to listen to, and for some reason I associate the two together.

 

Not an inconvenience, I really miss making playlists and burning CDs for people! Haha. Just need to make a quality list :)

They're both phenomenal Australian artists with feminist ideals so I get it!

Agreed! I also just found out she's supporting Hozier on some dates of his tour here (including Chicago!) and now I really want to go!

 

These songs are great, definitely hear the Lucy Dacus similarities and I’m 100% here for it.

I just saw American Songwriter's review of this album the other day and decided to give it a shot. Good album. Definitely think all the Chorus fans of Lucy Dacus, Phoebe, and Julien would probably like her.
