Definitely seems Rubano is an official and not only touring member. He’s in the music videos, recording on the album, and now listed on merchandise. I’m glad they have him!

 

now they just need to put out an album... haha

remember when AVA had the bassist from Thrice for like 2 hours?

 

Yup! I think he only appeared in a photo shoot and music video.

 

Tom posted on instagram about shooting a music video in Las Vegas next week. Maybe new music sometime end of march / April?

I just came across these two demos I had forgotten about. Recorded circa 2010. No vocals. My attempt at an Angels and Airwaves/Dangerous Summer/Jack’s Mannequin hybrid. Someone put vocals to these haha.

Same but I’m trying not to get my hopes up, I don’t think Tom has it in him anymore to recapture something he did 18 years ago. Either way I really want to like this album but the last 3 songs he released have been pretty forgettable to me, not bad but just kind of there.

 

I thought Rebel Girl was the best thing he’s released since probably After Midnight. Minus that atrocious video haha

 

I can see him capturing something similar to BCR, but not quite the same. It’ll be something new maybe just similar energy. Divorces do things to people.

He also posted on IG last week that they were filming a music video for the new single. Sounds like we may be getting this song soon.

 

Matt Rubano also teasing gives me more hope that this is coming soon.

 

I love Matt rubano. Everyone should hire him to play bass on their stuff so he can be the Travis barker of bass players.

 

Wonder if the wording of that tweet means none of the songs released so far make the album

 

I’d be very surprised if Rebel Girl and Kiss and Tell don’t make it.

 

I’ll still be surprised if get an actual full length album - I’m still expecting a 4-5 song EP lol

 

That would be super weird. I mean after all this time and they don't have a solid set of at least 10 tracks.

It's so strange that Rebel Girl has been out for 2 years this April and we still don't know any more about the album and accompanying film.
