Happy 14th to WDNTW! Still remember having to study for my algebra final in 9th grade, and decided to get high, light a candle, and listen to this with headphones instead haha
I'm sure I've said it before, but I went to one of (maybe THE) first shows and heard many of these songs live first. Fucking great show, still their best album
Same! I saw them on May 25, 2006 in Chicago. Two days after the album came out, and they played every song on it.
13 year old me was at this show. I think I saw Ok Go, Taking Back Sunday, Angels & Airwaves, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and My Chemical Romance all in the same day.
The one I’m talking about was an AVA headliner at the Vic. They did come back to Chicago one month later with TBS.
May 25, 2006 at the Vic theatre in Chicago. Met the band after the show and David gave me an AVA guitar pick. I have it framed with a signed photo of the original band line up. I will never forget seeing A Little’s Enough live. This is also the same show where Tom's speech about “Love” was filmed. Great memories around this album.
I think I listened to that song twice. Literally forgot it was a thing. I really liked the two previous singles but this one doesn’t deserve a daytime “New World” music video. Or does it..?
Yeah the song was definitely a big step down from Kiss & Tell and Rebel Girl. Still pretty cool that they wrote and recorded it in like the first 2 weeks of lockdown. I'm staying optimistic for the album.
