This dudes now gonna use the pandemic as a way to market his new music for several weeks. “I know you’re all home and sad, but hey, I got something that’ll cheer ya up ... in 3 weeks.” I hope this ages poorly and the new song is released Monday lol.
Probs would be not hitching myself to/actively distancing myself from the Doc Antle bandwagon tbh, but go off I guess?
I know it was posted that there was something on Thursday, thought I’d share the brief clip. I’ve been really into the last 2 songs and that was after I fell off the Tom band wagon pretty hard for a few years!
how does it sound promising? you knowwwwww that's going to just be the intro of the song and then it's going to bust into something completely different after 2 minutes, haha.
Hahahaha! I literally typed "even though it's only 2 seconds long and probably devolves into a recycled riff immediately after" but deleted it to try and not sound negative!
hahaha at least we know what to expect. but hopefully something unexpected comes of it. hey! maybe the song will start with a recycled riff and then devolve into the part this clip comes from! haha
The new snippet kinda reminds me of Phil Collins “Take Me Home” if you took it down an octave and eased way back on the vocals... ain’t mad about it lol.
I don’t think they have made an official statement on this, but he is looking more and move involved as time goes on. I hope he becomes a full member.
It certainly seems like he is...he shared the clip of the new song on his Instagram, where he also lists the band as the first thing in his bio. With all the lineup changes in the past 10 years for AVA, a four-piece of Tom, Ilan, Matt (these three being the primary contributors) and David is pretty sick, definitely their best. Hopefully this one sticks.
I think signing to a label was a very smart move for them. Seems they’re holding them a bit more accountable with releasing stuff.
