Tom's stage presence, man... hahaha. It's like Taylor Swift's dancing. In their heads they think they look cool as shit, but in actuality:
Tom describes his stage presence with a guitar perfectly in that new Ernie Ball string theory mini doc. as for his presence without a guitar...now that’s be something I’d like to hear about haha. It’s funny bc it’s weird, yet charming AF watching him live haha.
Going to the Minneapolis tonight-- finally get to see my childhood hero, just in time for my 18th birthday! Can't wait.
Realizing you're 18 just made me feel so old lol. Also I find it really interesting how Blink is one of the only bands from that 90s/00s music era that still resonates with kids. I have a neighbor who's a high school teacher and he says his 14 year old students all love Blink 182.....but it's the only rock music they like. Everything else they like is in the realm of Post Malone and Billie Eilish.
Yooo, got barricade for tonight's show! I love this venue, First Ave, super intimate space for this type of show, here's a picture from my Dad's seat:
Sweet pic! I dig that paint finish on his guitar too. God I want this album so badly, or at least a new single. I've played the crap out of Rebel Girl and Kill and Tell.
Yeah I’ve stopped listening to the singles cause I don’t want to overplay them before the album comes out. I know one of them is a stand-alone, but still. I want a meatier chunk of music to pair these appetizers with.
I should be worn out on Rebel Girl and Kiss & Tell but I just keep on listening. If the rest of the album (if we ever get one) is up to those standards then we'll be in for a damn good time.
Rebel Girl was such a party live... it really benefits from a little bit of added distortion and that slight tempo increase. I still go back to this video quite a bit...
