Just revisited this song. The chorus is catchier than I remember but:

well it's not like he was ever a good lyricist tbf. that's probably in the top 50% of his output lol

 

Lyrics sites claim it's "take a little kneel" which is probably even worse but I do enjoy the idea of Tom just repeatedly commanding people to eat different quantities of food.

I wanna have the same last meal again!

 

I really, really like Love Part 2, although Part 1 is definitely the better of the duology.

 

I'm always surprised when I see this opinion, though of course it's valid, but to me Part 1 is overlong, self-indulgent and silly and 2 is tighter, catchier and has far better transitions. (both albums end with their worst song which is weird)

Listening to him talk about the new AVA album can come off as exciting and all, except when you remember his sister had to convince him to write music so they don't continue to lose more money.

 

Interesting, is there somewhere I can read more on this?

 

The blink182italia Instagram page had a post a week or 2 ago describing the financial investment status of TTS AAS and on that post they reported Tom's sister convincing him to write an album to make up losses for the company.

 

really hoping for some sweet AVA merch at the tour. Also really wish I had a military green ava jacket that went up earlier this summer and sold out

 

He also said it has a lot of heart and will be "scary" and I believe referenced early Spielberg.

I don’t. But based off being a Tom fan for literally ever and how he’s half-assed all his music to sell his other projects since 2010 & how it was like pulling teeth for blink to get him to record ... I believe it.

Listening to Chasing Shadows EP right now, and it got me thinking about how I’d really love to see them work with Sam Pura

 

They've been teasing stuff from rehearsals on the band member's IG accounts. Mostly Tom, Rubano & Ilan posting. Has me super hyped for the tour!

 

Always is an absolute banger. I seem to overlook it when thinking about my favorite blink songs. Just all the layers and intricacies. Love the Cure/80’s vibe.

EDIT: Always needs to replace Down in their live set. I feel like it’d reach more people.
