Unfulfilled Song Shop purchases, crowdfunded projects that haven't been completed and admitting on a bizarre "Seminar" that he was thinking of doing Cameos under the banner of Ukraine support so he could pocket the money.

  2. Tom, Max, and Ace Enders.

I think Tom is the least guilty out of the 3 though. But at the same time, Tom lets fans down so often that it should just be common knowledge to maybe avoid anything more than just buying his bands albums. And Tom undoubtedly gets a lot more money than the other two.

Imo the biggest scammer in the music industry is Robbie Star of Superstar Tracks records. He told me Moon River Rock was gonna be a hit but my family hates it and now he wants to fly in Jeff Crisp from Indiana to mix it? NO MORE SCAMMING ADULTS INTO THINKING THEYRE STARS.

Yeah, Ace on a MUCH smaller scale, but a ton of unfullfilled Patreon promises

I still think maybe they pushed the idea to his manager or something. Like I said, he should still be held accountable.

  8. Why? Is there a single other Rise artist using FanGate? This is right in line with what the band has done ... since basically their inception. I see no evidence the record label was involved in this at all.

This is Tom being Tom. Same reason when he went back to blink and wore his Angels and Airwaves shirt every single live show.

That update is a joke. It a here is a free year of stuff you are still not getting. I truly dont understand why they just dont dump a bunch of demos and old modlife content to get started.

You’re stuck a bit more on the record label aspect of my post. This just doesn’t come across to me as something that Tom was ever super interested in, and I personally wouldn’t be surprised if this was something that management, business partners, or someone close to the band pushed. This is just my opinion. It’s more based on the fact that I almost never see Tom mention this fan club. In the past, he’s constantly posted and promoted stuff he’s been involved with whether it’s Macbeth, Modlife, or To The Stars.

It was like the same exact thing as modlife, idk why we would be giving Tom the benefit of the doubt on that. It's right in line with his m.o.

  13. Yup. Thats why I never ever (like ever) buy into any of that stuff Tom announces. As soon as there’s a price tag, I’m out.

And he most likely had to sign an agreement of some sort so there’s a responsibility there regardless of how into it he was or not

Hi everyone - just a fan here & I caught up with AVA's manager. I'm posting the most key parts of our conversation here as things have gotten quite toxic these last few days. I hope this helps alleviate some recent frustrations...

    As per our chat:

In terms of the TEC, by wind down we simply mean it isn’t going to be super active for a bit- we are extending everyone’s memberships at no cost, will continually update the store with exclusive products, the guys will pop on sporadically and TEC members will be the first to know about anything going on- we are working on some other perks that we can’t talk about yet.

Most artist fan clubs revolve around touring and album cycles- with the key element being first access to tickets and VIP packages- TEC is no different. We received so much feedback after the 2019 tour when everything sold out immediately about people not being able to get tickets or VIP packages- or having to pay high scalper prices, we decided to make the Empire Club as a place where fans could congregate, interact with the band from time to time and ULTIMATELY- have first access to tickets and EXCLUSIVE access to VIP packages, which is exactly what it was. A lot of people expected this to be Modlife 2.0, which it is not and was never meant to be. Modlife was a great platform and worked at a specific time in the bands career. They are now all in their 40’s, most with children or children on the way, among other projects- that being bands, companies, films, etc.

We see comments where people feel it was a money grab- let me tell you it is far from it. Once all expenses are taken out for running the site, creating the content, products, moderators, etc. the bands share is actually quite minimal- and again wasn’t the reason for the club- it was to make sure those that wanted first access had a real chance to get it.

In regards to your question on new music. That is all TBD. Tom is finishing Monsters and preparing to shoot another film before end of year. Ilan is touring with NIN, David is expanding James Coffee and Matt is working on a ton of stuff- so chances of them being able to record anytime soon are fairly slim. Now, that doesn’t mean that we won’t possibly release some fun stuff in the near future….

We hope this answers your question and provides some insight into things with TEC. It’s not going away, it’s just going to be less active- all the while we’ve heard everyone’s feedback and will be making changes moving forward that will all launch when the band is ready to get back into things.

It’s pretty disheartening to see all the negativity. The band is just trying to provide some extra value and access to the fans. Angels always has been and Always will be a multimedia art project. It’s not going to be like other bands putting out records every 2 years and touring the same amount.

And in regards to Europe- people need to understand that half of our dates were in mainland Europe who were still under restrictions- meaning we weren’t even sure if we were going to be able to play. In addition- the cost for transportation, sound, lights, buses, trucks, gasoline, etc. have all risen drastically. And we have to pay those cost months before the tour even starts- so, paying higher prices for gear and travel for shows we weren’t sure we’re going to happen- in addition- if the band was to get over there and someone was to get sick- it’s not as easy as it would be in the states. So, out of caution for the band and fans health- along with the fact that the tour had every chance of being a drastic loss- we had to cancel.

Thank you all for your continued support, we truly are grateful and humbled by your passion for the band.

Agreed. This is what I meant as far as accountability goes. No doubt he had to agree to it.

Also, I agree Modlife did not live up to what was promised, but while it was in its early stages, there was quite a bit of content. The "Tom hopped on once every 8 months" is not true, at least for the first couple years. It was pretty active during the I-Empire era. I remember quite a few random live broadcasts, blog posts/videos/etc. Tom posted quite a few "modcasts" just by himself too that are probably lost by now. Matt Wachter used to edit the content himself too.

This is tone-deaf. They were not active on the site. They did about 7 livestreams for the whole year. They have not added a single exclusive item the whole year. They band members have not 'popped' randomly once.

They way they advertised this was more than 'get tickets and VIP early' club.

The site has been buggy and the admins have been gone for two months. The news section was broken for two months. The admins didn't respond to emailed issues. They created maybe 20 minutes of content for the whole year and as far as I know, I have not seen a moderator active.

Again, it was never active other than the first month. This seems like lip service at best.

This is some gaslighting right here. They did not meet the minimum of their advertised features and content. That's everyone's problem. I am inclined to believe that the only reason we got the TEC update was because Tom was being called out on his posts asking for investments.

oh fuck me. Blows my mind this shit is STILL what’s being said, sixteen years in. I was there HEAVY for two or three years in high school. I hung on every post and tease that they did, I was on PunkDisasters for hours a day, bought almost every shirt they put out, and swore to my friends that they’d be bigger than any band in the ‘scene’ in like five years and LOVE the movie was going to change the world, or something. If nothing else, they’re consistent in their bullshit. lol

Surprised they’re still going, but Tom loves a solid vanity project I guess.
