Damn, wasn't even thinking of a Hoppus cameo but now you have my attention! Would be cool to see Mark play bass on "Rite of Spring" since Tom has been dedicating it to him on this tour.
Interestingly the tour shirt and poster they have been selling at merch has a 2nd SOMA date on it that was never announced. I’m guessing they had a hold on the date but the first one never sold out.
I was thinking Dammit as the safe pick although Pathetic would be amazing. Even better record the song and put it up on all streaming platforms and have the revenue generated go to cancer research.
Euphoria ripsssssssss. This whole album still rips. I think I overdid all the singles when they came out but I'm spinning the album today and the only song that doesn't fit for me is No More Guns. I feel like that coulda been a one off like all that's left is love.
A few notes about the performance: 1) Matt’s energy is contagious and I smiled each time he did 2) If Tom always used live pitch correction, I would welcome it. 3) Great performance
I also don't quite know why Tom moved away from live pitch correction. I still remember how he sounded during those first two Angels tours. He had some correction/doubler on his voice, I've still never heard anything quite like it.
Matt was jumping and literally headbanging during The Adventure when I saw him last week. He looked like a fan getting to play in his favorite band. Awesome show
Matt is such a good fit for the band. He's always smiling while playing. Couldn't ask for a better bass player to be in the band, and he does backing vocals!
The performance got me jamming the new album again. Also, the interview was good. Short and sweet. Excited to check out Monsters of CA even if it does suck.
Yeah I oddly loved the kind of auto-tune vibe early angels had. Added a bit more emotion IMO. Regardless, great performance. Band sounds incredible. Wish I could see them live!
I wanna check out the livestream. I don’t want a NFT though. Bands pushing NFT’s now and I’m over here like….damn, just give me something tangible like a pogs and slammer collection.
I feel like that might've been from the livestream, because at the very end you can see a guitar tech coming out to hand Tom a guitar.
Like...an AVA/TTS Slammer made out of space dust would be so dope. Some dude on Pawn Stars tried selling his Jurassic Park pog collection for $750k. That's why I'm all fixated on this. I really need to get my Space Jam poggs from my parents.
