Quite a few moments on this reminded me of Neighborhoods as well. Timebomb is practically a better Ghost on the Dance Floor.
I think we all know by now Tom is simply not great at lyrics, but I gotta say: "I'll put us back at ease cos we all need complacence - WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE" is perfect. genuinely makes me laugh every time
I'm loving the album. One thing I've noticed is the lyrics are a lot less abstract than what we had on The Dreamwalker or the EP's.
"17 and all alone again. 18 time to blow this popsicle stand." - My friend trying to guess lyrics on the new album before listening to it. Not. Too. Bad.
Yeah one my favourite parts for sure. It's made the songs more relatable and digestible. Can't stop playing Automatic.
We’re in a fucking nightmare There’s a hundred-thousand victims If we can’t protect them safely Then they die from their complexion I still can't believe this made the album and no one was like "let's take another pass at this one" Anyway, tracks 5-10 are the best Tom work since Blink, such a solid run of songs.
there's idiots abound and they're all fuckin racists i'll put us back at ease because we need more complacence we're all gonna die lol these lyrics in particular are so dumb that i love them
i liked the dream walker a great deal even tho i ultimately think it is uneven, so it's really nice to hear this album achieve the balance. i can't believe tom delonge made one of my favorite albums of the year in 2021 lmao
I know the song has been out forever, but the lyrics to Rebel Girl are just so awful. It's definitely my least favorite track here. Didn't expect to be going out to buy an Angels & Airwaves vinyl today, but, here we are.
