apparently the whole song/video is out there now, if you are in australia and have an apple music subscription. he mentions a wicker basket in the bridge.

 

Whoa. This song was not what I expected for sure. This is Tom's best song in awhile.

 

I’m going to avoid the preview since it appears the song is out there. Now I just need it lol

This is pretty different. I need some with time with it but I really like the instrumental.

So in regards to the video:
The blonde woman seduces, then murders the older dude to steal his Area 51 clearance badge, then gives it to a guy on a motorcycle. This seems like it could be part of an ongoing story.

 

I'm fully on board with this.

Song structure is cool. Tom's melodies are great here. His lyrics.. ehhhhhhhhh

 

MUCH more dissonant, melodically, than anything else he's ever done.

 

Wow...the guitars don't sound like rubber bands on an empty box of tissues. I'm in.

I’m in.

Song still feels messy at points and the lyrics are bad, but the energy and sound is what I’m looking for from Tom DeLonge in 2021. I like the vocal melodies, I like the energy, and it doesn’t feel like this song was slapped together in an afternoon (which is how I’ve felt about every song on all the EP’s).

 

Liking the lyrics more with each listen. Definitely some of his better stuff.

 

I'm going to have to wait until they're on genius or officially released with the video on YouTube. Making out what I can.

 

Tom killin it yet again. Love this energy. I wonder how many of the songs on this new album will stay in this same vein.

 

First impressions: eh video, great song. I'll grab a fork and knife for my hat...
