I would like to know what people on here think is the worst song in AVA's catalogue (Jumping Rooftops, Star of Bethlehem, and other instrumentals/interludes don't apply)

Without revisiting the entire discography, "Distraction" has never clicked with me and has always felt like a repetitive boring mess.

 

The vibes up are upppppppp. Let's gooooo!

 

Has to be something on Love Part Two

 

Yeah probably one of those ones where he's just basically redone an old song with the exact same melody but different lyrics.

 

It’s the majority of love part 2, minus like 4 songs

 

Definitely something from Love II, The Dream Walker, or his EP’s. I feel like after LOVE I the quality dips off immensely.

 

Chasing Shadows has some good stuff on it. I would put The Dream Walker above Love Part Two, but I agree that Love 1 was the end of the golden age of AVA.

 

Listened to Love 1 recently and can attest. It really feels like the moment right before the songwriting started losing steam.

 

I've always thought the highs of Love Part 2 where higher than Part 1. It's just not as consistent.

 

I can't separate love 1 from 2. It kinda all just runs together for me

 

It's hard for me to make it all the way through Love 2.

 

"Moon As My Witness" is really boring in my opinion, but "Dry Your Eyes" is probably my least favorite because a bitter break-up song just feels really out of place on an AVA album.

 

lol I would take Love Part Two over One any day, there's really no contest for me haha

on a related note, "Some Origins of Fire" is the worst AVA song

Wait how is it already 2 days out?? in my head it's perpetually two weeks away lol

 

I hope I’m wrong, but my gut is telling me this song will start out heavy like BCR and the chorus will bring the energy down. Like what happens in Flight of Apollo. Super BCR-esque riff and lame chorus haha.
