Rock This with Allison Hagendorf on Spotify features Tom this week. Interesting tidbits about Euphoria and the new album. He confirms there is an unreleased boxcar song that will be released at some point. He mentions him and Travis worked on it within the last couple years.

I have this feeling that next year BCR is gonna do a few random festival appearances for the 20 year anniversary.
Maybe I'm too optimistic.

 

I'd poop. I'd also be stoked on a re-release of the album with demos/the new song.

 

If this is an unreleased song from 2001/2002 sign me up. If it was made since AVA started nah.

oh, and please release that BCR song. I don’t even care if they redid it or whatever. I just would love one more song from the BCR era since it’s my favorite album of all time.

I would think this is a BCR song they rediscovered and maybe finished. Not something they made they made from scratch, otherwise I feel like they woulda posted more on social media about it?

 

Tom mentions in that Rock This interview that the guy who mixed BCR's album is mixing new angels too. Think that was covered before but Tom sounds super stoked on the mixes.

 

As much as I'd love to hear a BCR song that was written and recorded in 2002, I'd also be interested to hear what a 2021 BCR song might sound like. Maybe they could still pull it off, and if so, then pleeeeease give us a full album. Otherwise, I'll just take that one new song and call it good.

 

The hype train has just arrived. I'm getting on.

Hopefully it sounds like this new AVA album lol. I always wished AVA would be a bit heavier in sound. Partly why I like the lo-fi vibes of Dream Walker

 

"Mercenaries" is still my favorite AVA song, and I think that's because it reminds me of BCR a bit. I really hope AVA will impress us!
