Song is great, love the concept. He’s really underrated

 

Yep very underrated. I was listening to The Party the other day thinking it may make my decade list. When it came out I think it was like my 10th or 11th favorite album that year, but as time has went on I’ve come back to it more than a lot of other albums I thought I liked better at the time.

 

the party is most certainly on my decade list. dude's songs are so fucking rock solid

 

Got put onto this dude a couple weeks ago, pre-release singles are good so far

 

This album is going to be soooo good.

 

It's insane to me that Andy has blown up, we used to run into each other regularly at pubs in Regina and he's such a soft spoken humble guy, great to see his success

If you haven't heard his Foxwarren project you are missing out

This is VERY VERY VERY great.

"The Moon" is so fantastic and I'm super in love with how they captured the acoustic guitar. It sounds straight from a 70s era James Taylor record. Oh and "Fire Truck"?!?! OOF

 

Very in on this. Is there an LP anywhere?

Ok now THIS is why I wanted to venture out and listen to everything in 2020*. Because this is almost certainly gonna make my top 10 this year. Goddamn.

* and I would have probably overlooked this release because I tend to miss 90% of new music / artists

 

I’ve only listened once but can’t stop thinking about it, I think the storyline threaded throughout really works in its favor. I’m not usually a huge fan of concept albums but this is packed with wit and pathos. Also really cool that the local bar he frequents is allegedly called Skyline, which adds to the fictionalized autobiographical shit going on

Also, Fire Truck - goddamn

 

Don’t know the exact line but love the line about the woman talking about missing his coat, not him. Legit made me laugh out loud.

listened to this back to back, so so so good.

 

Haven’t heard an Andy record in a while, never got around to the last one but I really dug the Foxwarren record. Just put this on while making dinner, I’m at Living Room and everything’s been a hit so far

Bumping this to re-state how incredible this album is. Had never listened to him before this came out, and I cannot stop playing it.

yeah, this is definitely my favorite album of 2020 so far. lot of time left in the year for something to usurp it, but it's definitely gonna be top 10 at absolute worst this year.
